Despite an unprepossessing exterior, the unit was wood panelled inside, and was cosy. The living area was large and it was quiet, being located away from the main road. The stairs to the bedrooms were a bit narrow and creaky, but we had a comfortable sleep. Enjoyed our stay.

This is an amazing accommodation. From the tidy and well maintained bedrooms, living room and restroom. To the clean and newly furnished kitchenette, aircondition and coaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Great clean little cottage, everything you might need for cooking is provided. 6 sleeping places are upstairs in the loft. Grocery store is a short drive away, national park is 10-15 min away. TV didn’t have a signal, but we didn’t care about it.
Nice, cosy place. Great location just a couple of mins from carrot playground and shops. Kids really like it, and it works well for us too. Will definitely be back again in the future.
Very nice and tidy motel. It may be bit old, but it is perfectly clean and well looked after. For our next visit to Ohakune, we will no hesitate to stay again in this place.
We had a brilliant stay here! Lovely owners and gave us a great welcome which we appreciate after a long day cycling. Fantastic kitchen with everything that we could wish for to cook ourselves a meal . Spacious cabin and very clean and we were able to bring our bikes inside which is very important to us. So quiet and peaceful! Highly recommend!
We were upgraded from a 2 bedroom to a 5 bedroom (we still only used 2 bedrooms) but had a nice large house with a fireplace. Loved coming in from the snow to a cosy house.
Sadly, I didn’t meet John, whom I always spoke with on the phone, but it was great meeting the beautiful lady Susie.
Love the place so cosy, quiet and peaceful but I don’t recommend it for a couple who have young children or toilet-trained children.
My partner and I have to wake up four times in the morning to take turns taking our kids to the restroom.
But I still love the place
Very easy checking in, Lockey BBQ area & garden. Kitchen had everything we needed, nice size fridge & freezer, easy to recycle.

Staff was friendly but the facility is quite old. The bed are shorts and small for adults. Heating is good and the place is clean.

It was clean and quaint. Good for a group that would be skiing. Okay for a family but it only has one bathroom which is downstairs, and the stairs are very squeaky and steep. Not great if you have to get up and go to the bathroom at night.
Property was easy to locate and was perfect for what we needed as a family, very much enjoyed our stay.
Only comment is it would be good if the bunks had a bar on the top bunk to stop possible rollout for kids.
