Ruapehu & Turoa ski-field. Welcome to Bach One Nine, a stylish, self-contained holiday retreat in the heart of Ohakune. Only a 5 minute walk to Ohakune’s shops and cafes, Bach One Nine is situated in a quiet street with views of the mountain, and an easy 20 minute drive to Mount Ruapehu and Turoa ski-field. Bach One Nine offers comfortable, contemporary accommodation with a touch of Kiwiana. Relax in the cosy lounge and watch a DVD while the kids watch a movie or have fun in the Bunk room. Enjoy the log fire or use the heat-pump for quick heat. Bedding includes electric blankets on the large beds and down-duvets on all beds, whilst the new bathroom has instant gas hot-water. There's a monitored alarm for peace of mind, and a drying room for all ski and tramping gear. Free High-speed Wifi. We accept payment by Credit Card, Online Banking or Bank deposit. Linen included (sheets, bedding, towels) with beds made up ready for you to arrive and relax and heating on (when practical). Recent upgrades include re-insulation, instant gas hot water, a fully fenced section so it's safe for young children. A new queen sized bed in Bedroom One with a brand new mattress. A port-a-cot and high chair are also provided for little ones. Many of our return guests say that this is their home "away from home", and we pride ourselves on offering our Bach with that little extra "something" out our feedback! We also provide some pantry items (depending on what the last guests used) such as teas and some condiments. AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ANY COST The photos online are completely misleading — the reality is nothing short of appalling. This is, without question, the most unhygienic and poorly maintained place we have ever stayed. A COMPLETE SCAM : After a single night, the host filed a completely false damage claim against us. We left the property exactly as we found it, yet they pursued charges with zero evidence. The host never responded, and both Expedia and Vrbo offered no meaningful support, leaving us to deal with an unfair and baseless accusation. FILTHY AND UNACCEPTABLE CONDITIONS: It was obvious the property had not been cleaned before our arrival. - Cobwebs hanging in multiple areas - Mould visible in several spots - Thick dust everywhere - A bed that reeked of urine - Linen that was clearly not fresh or properly washed The level of neglect was shocking and made the stay extremely uncomfortable. This entire experience caused unnecessary stress during and after our visit. Between the disgusting lack of cleanliness and the fraudulent damage claim, we would never return — and strongly urge others to stay far away from this property.
