À propos de cet hébergement
Nearby Snowbasin/POWMOW, Outdoor Adventure and Nightlife!
These accommodations are in a quiet neighborhood near the world-class attractions of Ogden, Utah. This second-floor apartment gives a great view of both the sunrise and sunset. We offer a skiers delight, an outdoor enthusiast dream, business travelers after-hours respite, a vacationers getaway and for those who seek the Historic Downtown of Ogden, expectations met.
Access to the second-floor apartment is up a flight of stairs from the ground level and free parking is both on the street and in the rear of our property.
The entry, bedrooms, baths, kitchen, dining area, living room, and large deck are all located on the second floor.
As you enter notice the breakfast nook with a view of Mount Ogden. The opposite side of the mountain is the home to Snow Basin, a world-class ski resort used to host the 2002 Women's and Men's downhill races.
Each of the four bedrooms contains a bed, closet, extra blankets, dresser, and fan.
The first door on your right has a full-sized foam mattress for a firm night's sleep.
The first door on your left has a queen memory foam bed.
The second door on your left has two twin beds.
Off the living room, the master bedroom has a queen-size mattress, a 44' wall-mounted flatscreen TV, and an attached powder room with a full bath.
There is also a stackable washer and dryer.
The dining table seats 4+ and the breakfast bar seats three. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a drip filter coffee maker, nder, rice cooker, toaster, and microwave.
The living area provides a mounted flatscreen TV and DVD player. The TV is mounted on a swivel arm and can be adjusted to the perfect viewing angle for anywhere in the living room. Wireless broadband Internet connectivity is also provided to keep you connected and online during your stay.
Our advertised rate is for the entire unit. You may use the bedroom of your choice. You will have exclusive access to all the rooms but we expect you will use just the bedrooms you need. Additional guests increase the nightly rate by $20.00 per person. You are free to use the number of bedrooms required for your entire party to sleep comfortably. The kitchen, living area, and laundry area are exclusively yours. We have recessed lighting in each shower and dimmable lights in the dining area, living room, and bar area.
You have a private entrance to the second floor.
For your benefit, the following itinerary is proposed:
Skier's 5-day vacation itinerary.
Day 1 (Skiing ) Drive 1.3 miles to the iconic skiing Ogden bus stop, complete with skier statues at the NE intersection of 24th Street and Washington, (with parking just E of the intersection on 24th St) and take the 674 bus line to Powder Mountain (rated #1 value resort in the West in 2017 Ski Magazine). Pow Mow is a good first-day resort because you may want to get used to skiing powder or you want to ski powder, but don’t want to destroy your legs on the first day. Enjoy mingling with the fiercely loyal PowMow skiers and staff on the bus and the spectacular view from your window seat while going through Ogden Canyon. Taking the bus to Pow Mow is almost always a good idea: You are spared a drive which can be challenging.
Enjoy yourself at the Timberline Lounge, and, since you are taking a relaxing bus ride home, enjoy yourself a little more than were you driving from PowMow. Feast at the Timberline Steakhouse (closed on Sundays) which is decorated with a skiing theme.
Day 2 (Skiing ) Go to the same iconic bus stop but take the 675 to Snowbasin, the site of the 2002 Olympic downhill. Take in a breathtaking view and lunch at the John Paul Lodge. Snowbasin is rated #2 in the West for dining in 2017 Ski Magazine. While Snowbasin has two separate mountain experiences which are both serviced by gondolas, they have the top ten chair lift in the West in John Paul which services primarily expert terrain and even has the locals bushed before lunch.
If your chute skiing is bombproof and the snowpack is deep enough and the powder sweet enough, the out-of-bounds terrain above the John Paul tram will be a treat. Warning: those with dependents and without a good life insurance policy have been advised not to ski down on the outbound side and to opt for the inbounds side or return down the tram. Since the finger chutes are out of bounds, any medical services you might require from the ski patrol would also be on you. An awe-inspiring inbound chute, Lone Tree—clearly visible from the top of the Needles Gondola and accessible from the Strawberry Gondola—could be a safer alternative to the JP fingers.
Experience the royal bathrooms, featuring Italian Carrera marble, of Snowbasin, ranked #1 in the country by many.
For dinner, treat yourself to Japanese dinner at Kobe or Tona Sushi (7 min drive).
Day 3. (recovery) Take the day off and get a deep tissue therapeutic massage at Structura Body Therapies. A 25-minute drive so schedule your appointment in advance. The massage can be either gentle or therapeutic. Hardcore skiers will want the 1 ½ hour-long therapy session and get your kinks worked out along with some recommended stretching exercises. You can also get a referral to someplace near your home where you could get a similar structural massage.
Get a little exercise on those legs and check out the beautiful Ogden Historic 25th Street shopping area.
Day 4 (Skiing ) Take a 7-minute drive to Ogden Station. From Ogden Station, take the train to
Day 5 (Skiing ) Take an hour and 15-minute drive to either Park City Mountain or Deer Valley Ski Resort. Opt for Park City if you want to do park skiing and halfpipe. Opt for Deer Valley if you want Ski Magazine’s third-ranked overall ski resort in the West and Utah’s highest-rated ski resort. The St. Regis hotel at Deer Valley sports a funicular. Who knows? You may even cross paths with the legendary Ted Ligety there. The food and service there are legendary.
