The rooms are clean and in good overall condition. The Pool area used to be anything but a place you would have felt comfortable swimming in and now it is clean and wlell maintained. I think mine may have been the only available room because every other room i saw was torn apart. I was here a year ago and the same thing. How long is this remodel going to take? The noise of construction workers banging and yelling back and forth to each other does not make for a very relaxing environment for rest for weary travelers. Also, filth in the room. Urine on the toilet seat. A hair on the "clean" towel. A burn mark on the "clean" pillow. Definitley not a clean environment when you would think a hotel would go above and beyond to provide guests with a clean environment and some peace of mind against Covid stuff. This was an excellent overnight stay. I arrived about 1 a.m., after incorrectly figuring the driver time from El Paso to Odessa was two hours. (It's four; plus another hour for bad roads. Nonetheless, the woman I must have awakened was as fresh and pleasant as if it were a Sunday morning. The room was Big, and extra clean. The bed was really comfortable. The price was low because they're doing some renovations, I heard the next morning from a most gracious man -- perhaps the owner/manager/boss? -- but everything looked good to me! Pleasant paint colors. Oh! No pictures on the wall. Guess they're just not quite finished. Grab yourself a great buy and an every better stay at Knights Inn Odessa.
