Less than a mile walk from the beach. This second-floor private suite has 1 queen bed and 1 full bath with private kitchenette (NO STOVE) and queen sleeper sofa. This space is located on the front of the house where there is a full 30ft covered porch. Great for a family of 4 or two couples looking to get away. \*\*The listed rate covers up to 2 guests. Additional guests will be an additional $50 per guest, per stay. MAXIMUM OF 4 PEOPLE – NO PETS ALLOWED \*\* No Pets this unit. See either of our other 2 suites if you want to bring a pet. The entrance is located up the stairs on the left side of the deck to the second floor covered porch. Studio includes a queen bed, kitchenette with dining table for 4, seating area with queen sofa bed and smart TV. The only other living space on this floor is another studio on the rear of the house with its own entrance. No common spaces. \*\* ANY additional guests not marked and paid for at the point of booking, I reserve the right to cancel the booking at the point of check in without refund. Accommodations offer a hair dryer, Smart television and starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. Kitchenette includes apartment size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, cookware/dishes/utensils, and a standard 12 cup coffee maker (filters provided) No smoking of any kind (no vapes, no e-cigs). Any evidence of smoking in the suite will incur a cleaning fee of $350\. If you must smoke, please do so outside and away from other guests. Dispose of cigarettes properly (do not throw in the yard). \*\*IMPORTANT\*\* Parking is a premium on Ocracoke and we only have 1 space available per suite. Please, no trailers or very large vehicles. Full size, 4-door, long-bed trucks and large SUVs (ex. Suburbans or Expeditions) will not fit in our parking area. They will be too long and/or too wide. \*\* Be aware that if you bring/rent a golf cart while you are staying with us you will need to park it behind your vehicle. An extension cord is available for charging. Bicycles, golf carts and other 4x4 vehicles available for rent on the island. (Lots of options for rentals) Ocracoke Beach Outfitters has beach gear, baby items, bicycles and other items for rent if you forget something for your stay. They are within walking distance of the house. (ocracokebeachoutfitters.com) The house sits in the middle of our little island 30 miles off the mainland accessible only by ferry boat or airplane. There are 3 ferry lines that service this island. Cedar Island, Swan Quarter and Hatteras. Cedar Island and Swan Quarter vehicle ferries require reservations and a small fee (see the NC Ferry Reservations website to reserve your date and time). The Hatteras vehicle ferry is free and first-come, first-serve. You may have to wait in line at Hatteras. The schedule for all ferries and reservations for Cedar Island and Swan Quarter are on the NC Ferry website (ferry.ncdot.gov) No franchises are allowed on island so all the fish markets and restaurants are locally owed as are most all the businesses, family owned and operated. Restaurants get their fresh seafood directly from the local fishermen daily. There are various festivals and special events throughout the season. Check out the Ocracoke Observer community newspaper website (ocracokeobserver.com) or Facebook page for up to date information on restaurant openings/closings and special events. This house sits within walking distance to it all. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a family friendly space with house rules and quiet hours posted in the rental agreement that you MUST read prior to booking. The host got back to us almost immediately when I expressed concern after the hurricane from the previous weekend. Walking distance for us to the beach one way and the marina/shops/restaurants the other way so it was a perfect location for us. This is a newly renovated Suite, it is a nice size. There ended up being 2 adults and a teenager for our stay. There was an issue with another tenant so I sent the owner a message on VRBO and received an almost immediate response and resolution of the issue. The owners care about their tenants’ stay. The WiFi was strong. We didn’t read the description accurately nor did we notice that there wasn’t an oven/cooktop. There is a plug in cooktop though and a toaster oven if you are brave enough to try!The shower and bathroom are nicely sized, with the walk in shower being very nice. The deck is perfect for sitting on for coffee or cocktails. My only suggestions would be a new refrigerator (only for aesthetic reasons), however the one there works perfectly and keeps everything as cold as you want. I would suggest giving more towels than just one set per person for 4 days/nights. The sofa sleeper needs to be replaced, it is neither comfortable to sit on or sleep on. My teenager slept on a blow up mattress instead of the pull out sofa. The parking is tight at this property, we had to put the golf cart behind our vehicle and then we were still worried about blocking another tenant in. I would stay at this property again. We enjoyed our stay.The property was very clean, comfortable and well thought out. There is no thermostat in the unit & the AC was very chilly. We expected a little more cooking capability in kitchenette, but it was fine. We brought a grill and griddle. We cooked and ate on the specious front porch. Parking is tight if other guests have large vehicles, which they did during our stay, and the neighbor across the street parallel parks. The owner was very easy to contact and was responsive. ##### Paul W. It was perfect for our needs, as we were only use to sleep and prepare ourselves for going out. We had already planned on eating out for our meals, so the lack of having a proper kitchen was not a factor. Both the bed and couch were comfortable and there was ample space to move around so we never felt cramped in the studio-style setup. If we were to nitpick and find fault at all with the accommodations, it would be the reduced water pressure in the shower, but it got the job done which is all that matters. Our only negatives over the 3 night trip were all external factors out of anyone’s control as our trip was during the waning effects of Hurricane Debby. If ever we have the opportunity to try to vacation in Ocracoke again, we would definitely stay at this accommodation again. ##### Nathan B.
