The Islander Villas is located on the prestigious west end of Ocean Isle. It is nestled between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. The area is a haven for golfers with over 25 championship golf courses in the area North Carolina. Myrtle offers diverse shopping including Chandler's Wharf, Barefoot Landing, and Broadway at the Beach for those bargain shoppers there are multiple outlet shopping opportunities. Myrtle beach also offers the Pavilion with kid's rides and multiple mini golf courses. Historic Wilmington offers shopping offshore fishing charters, and tours of the USS NC Battleship Memorial. The Islander Villas Community is on the west end of the island which has a much wider beach and is less crowded than the upper end. The Islander Villas community has a very nice ocean front pool club with pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, outdoor tiki bar all on the ocean front as well as 4 community tennis courts.
Ocean Isle Beach is a south facing barrier island with 7 miles of beach on the Atlantic Ocean, located 12 miles south of the NC/SC border. Ocean Isle Beach is a much quieter and less crowded island than areas like Myrtle Beach, etc. The beach is spectacular and is very wide and clean with a nice gentle slope. The island has a fishing pier, arcade, surf shops, restaurants, museum, ice cream parlor, mini golf course, bicycle, jet ski, kayak, boat and golf cart rentals. The backside of the island has quiet protected water great for kayaking.
