Nestled atop the highest point in the lovely hamlet of freestone this home is surrounde by meadows and redwood groves. Located just outside of Sebastopol proper offers the tranquility of country living while being minutes from bars, restaurants, wineries, spas, and eclectic shops. Enjoy a beautiful 10 minute walk to the famous Wildflour bakery and Osmosis day spa. Not to mention the local wine tasting, cheese fromagerie, and country farm where you can pick upfresh produce and flowers. This space is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing getaway or a perfect home base for visiting, wine tasting, or simply exploring beautiful Sonoma county. Step inside to enjoy an open floor plan with high vaulted ceilings exposing intricate joint and beam work in every room. Remote operated skylights and stained glass create extraordinary light and volume. Cook in the chefs kitchen with a Wolf 6 burner stove dual ovens and indoor grill.Kitchen is fully stocked from spices to top of the line cookware. Relax in the living room and watch the game or a movie on the 80” TV while lying on soft leather and velvet couches. Step into the great room and enjoy the grand floor to ceiling custom fireplace while reading your favorite book or playing cards. Serve a fresh cooked meal or wine and charcuteri at the heavy wooden dining table that seats 12\. Step out onto the deck and take in the panoramic views. Wander into the indoor/outdoor room where you will be surrounded by vibrant foliage and rare cactuses. This room boasts a white Norwegian gas fireplace and custom live edge redwood table that seats six. An antique carousel horse and bright red chairs lend a fun party vibe to this space. On the front patio where you will be surrounded by giant Australian ferns and more humming birds than you can count you will find a large Webber grill with cooking and staging tables, another dining table for six, outdoor relaxing chairs as well as a private oasis with a wood sauna, hot tub and outdoor shower. Besides the bedrooms and full bathroom there is a dedicated work space with desk chairs and printer. Situated on 10 acres of land and down a long private driveway which is lovely to walk on, will give you the feeling that you are far away from society. The home is large and open with much to look at and enjoy. The refined and eclectic decor is a mix of upscale restoration hardware, original vintage pieces, and global finds.
