Experience real Scottish Heritage at Aura with a luxury, 3 bedroom family home that sleeps up to 8, bathroom, a spacious open plan kitchen lounge diner & large garden.

Located in Dunbeg, minutes from beautiful beaches & the famous Dunstaffnage castle. Only a 5-minute drive to Oban - the Gateway to the Isles.

Kick back & relax next to the cosy electric fire, watching your favourite Netflix film on the 43" TV, or listening to music on the wireless speaker.

Aura house features Scottish Heritage throughout with local pictures, tartan, and Harris Tweed pillows and a hand-carved sheep’s horn walking stick.

You’ll experience a taste of Gaelic with the rooms named, ”Ghaoil" meaning love is a double bedroom downstairs, and situated upstairs is "Gàireachdainn" meaning laughter, a family room with a king-size bed and bunk bed, and "Gàirdeachas" meaning joy is a double room.

The kitchen is well equipped with cooking and hosting essentials. The bathroom features complimentary Sea Kelp body wash, shampoo, and conditioner from a local Scottish Fine Soap Company.

Working whilst you’re here? One of the bedrooms has a workstation with free fast Wi-Fi throughout the house.

To entertain the kids, the garden has a trampoline and a fun playground is across the road.

Lovely home close to Oban

Aura was a lovely place to stay - beds were comfortable, check-in was well communicated, there were many nice small touches, and it was a quick drive into Oban. Overall, very pleased with our stay and would recommend to anyone!

A lovely spot. Well equipped kitchen with treats. Beds were comfortable. Location was good. A good spot if you have children or pets. Note that 2 bedrooms and the single bathroom are up a full flight of stairs. The main bedroom is on the main floor. There are baby gates available, jut note the stairs if you have mobility challenges or youngsters sleeping on a different floor. Great communication and assistance from the host. We would highly recommend and we would return.

Great spot for the whole family

This property was exactly what we needed for our adventures in and around Oban. Very short drive to Oban, and it made getting to Glen Coe and Ben Nevis easy as well. Everything was neat and tidy, and everything worked very well!

Not luxury

Rented this property through Vrbo after I had previously enjoyed superb accommodation through Vrbo. This property was advertised as spacious and the word luxury used. I have photos that contradict all of the above, I also went and bought a toaster so that I didn’t have to use the dirty toaster on offer. Dead insects on top of the cooker hood, food and rubbish between the fridge and unit. Paint peeling from around the bannister. I am glad I didn’t have kids with me, trampoline rusted. If this is luxury then I’m lost. Not worth the money I paid for two nights. Absolutely disgusted and extremely disappointed.David Margaret and Anne

Convenience to oban

We used this place for day trip to Mull and Oban, so convenient. Cooked dinner one night for a quiet one after hitting the store. Used the outdoor grill and indoor stove worked great.Plan on long wash times if you use the washer - much longer than run times on US washer..

Fantastic Accomodation in a lovely area of Oban

The property is situated a 10 minute drive from the town centre so is well located for any sightseeing that you want to do. The home itself is very spacious, has lots of storage, very comfy beds and cosy lounge room and a large enclosed back yard which was lovely to sit out in and enjoy a drink and our family members two small dogs had a wonderful time exploring in it. Hosts communicated with us well prior to and during our stay to ensure that we had everything that we needed. A lovely touch was the complimentary Oban chocolate and a selection of Oban Whisky that we could help ourselves to and enjoy a wee dram! Highly recommend this place and hope to visit again one day. Thank you John & Nicole for your wonderful hospitality.

Lovely Stay in Dunbeg

The house was clean and roomy. We had plenty of room to lounge around when we were not out and about. It's for sure a drive into Oban, but there is a Bus Stop right outside your door so not a problem to get into town. Property is quite got a good night sleep every night. Fun to be located in a neighbor hood.

Not good for someone with allergies. Cute house overall and owners very responsive and helpful. Missing supplies like kleenex, paper towels, trash bags. Bathtub door seal did not work.

Lovely wee family weekend

A fantastic house in a great location on the west coast. We were blessed with stunning weather for our two nights and there's some really nice wee beaches not far from the house at all. Nice and close to Oban as well for all the shops you need. Great communication from the hosts as well who made sure we had everything we needed. Can't recommend enough!

Lots of special touches

This house was very comfortable for our party of four adults and two kids. The bedding and pillows were really comfortable and high quality which was a treat. It’s located about a three minute drive from Oban town centre and about a five minute drive to a Tesco, Aldi and M&S Food Hall which was really convenient. The property itself is quite attractively decorated and it’s clear the hosts are very proud of where they come from. They also have an excellent system in place to provide information about the property and check in. We had North American cell phones which did not cooperate with texting so we had a hiccup at check in but John and Nicole were very responsive by email through VRBO and we got it sorted out quickly. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here. Very comfortable stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here John and Nicole had everything that you could need for a comfortable stay they stayed in touch to make sure we had everything we needed.. The house is well equipped including toys to keep the young ones occupied. Oban is a short 3 mile trip such a lovely town. I would thoroughly recommend this property if you are looking for somewhere to stay in oban . Thanks again John and Nicole and for the wee dram of oban whisky 😀
