With superb views across the harbour and onto the island of Kerrera, this third floor apartment allows you to sit and watch the ferries leaving Oban for the Hebrides. It also has wonderful views of McCaigs Folly, bathed with spectacular lighting at night time. For those wishing to explore the west coast by day and sample the variety of restaurants and bars in the evening, it is in an ideal location with the town centre only a short walk away. Argyll is steeped in history, with breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. Visit unspoilt beaches, castles, museums and gardens, or take a short boat trip from the harbour to one of the inner isles, including Mull and Iona. Forest trails offer leisurely walks, or mountain biking and a variety of other outdoor pursuits are available. Glencoe, Fort William and Inveraray are easily accessed, and if you do wish to venture further afield, buses, trains and taxis are on your doorstep. It is cosy and comfortable, whatever weather Oban throws at you. And although flat is a 3 flights / 42 steps climb, the view is a just reward! The apartment was very well furnished & equipped and very comfortable and immaculately clean. The town of Oban was literally a few minutes walk away so restaurants, shops, bars etc were all close by, as was the ferry terminal & railway and bus station. There is a dedicated parking space for one car at the back of the apartment which was very convenient … some days we didn't use the car at all as you can walk to many of the local attractions. One thing to note is that the apartment is on the 3rd floor via some stairs with no lift - we didn't have a problem with this at all however those with disabilities may struggle with the stairs.
