La Casa de J.P. de "APA". Encantadora casa de 2 pisos ubicada en el corazón del centro histórico de la ciudad de Oaxaca, a escasos minutos caminando para visitar museos, parques, zócalo (plaza principal), restaurantes, mercados (de artesanías y comida), comercios, hospitales, bancos, iglesias, atracciones culturales, teatros, andador turístico, artesanías y servicios de transporte en general.

La casa es muy bonita y lujosa cuidando hasta el mas mínimo detalle para garantizar que su estancia sea lo mas placentera posible. Amplia cocina con todo lo indispensable para la elaboración de alimentos y mesa redonda. Baño completo con regadera, tina y tocador, un baño completo y un medio baño. Amplias y confortables habitaciones con ventilador. Dos pequeñas salas. Cuarto de lavado y planchado. Patio.

Se puede tener acceso a toda la casa con restricción a la azotea y cuarto de máquinas.

In the middle of it all
The property is large and very close to the market. It’s right in the center so there’s definitely traffic and crowds but we expected the hustle and bustle. We also got to see a Christmas procession from the window which was awesome. Gerardo is an attentive host. The markets are within walking distance. Great kitchen for cooking. I would recommend having a few more cooking utensils and a cutting board to make the experience better. We had an amazing time! Recommend this place for people wanting to be in central Oaxaca near Zocalo and markets!

Wonderful Stay in Oaxaca!
We had a wonderful stay here for 5 nights! We were 4 adults (2 couples) and had plenty of room in the house. Some items that were not so great: 1) The noise outside was loud all day long and into the night. We were here during a holiday so there were lots of people. 2) The beds are VERY firm. By the 4th and 5th night, we did not sleep well. 3) There were alarms outside that went off several nights and did not go off for long periods of time. 4) There is one BIG full bathroom but the 2nd full bathroom is very small and has no plug in the bathroom. The things we loved about the house: 1) The kitchen was well stocked and very functional. We had everything in there that we needed. 2) The lock on the door was automatic and you put in a code - we felt very safe and it was great not having to carry around a key. It was a very convenient perk! 3) EXCELLENT location to the center of town. 4) The house is very roomy, VERY clean and had lots of hot water! 5) The host is very responsive, very kind and helpful, great communication with him. He gave great suggestions and helped with everything we needed!

The host, Gerardo, was just outstanding. He went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Was very responsive to our request and came by to fix a minor issue. The area around the property is noisy, so be prepared to not get as much rest as you expect. The alarm of a nearby store went off every single night, sometimes more than twice each night. The mattresses were stiff as a board. The house overall is extremely clean and very centrally located. We felt safe walking around at all hours of the day and night.

Perfect Location for a Oaxaca City stay!
This is an outstanding location and an outstanding vacation home for a Oaxaca stay. It is super close to the Benito Juarez mercado, the main zocalo, museums, wonderful restaurants, all things Oaxaca, etc, etc. I would happily stay here again and again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with my group. Super clean, super comfortable and the perfect location for a OAX getaway!

Very nice but loud traffic noise.
Convenient location for walking around the center of Oaxaca. Very clean. The house is pretty.The large kitchen could be from an elegant sailing ship.The host is very quick to respond to questions. Our only problem was that the traffic noise made sleeping in the front 2 bedrooms impossible and 3 of our group went immediately to a nearby hotel for the duration of our stay in Oaxaca. The back bedroom is quiet and the house is otherwise very comfortable. It would probably have been perfect 30 years ago.

Although the photos of the kitchen represented something very well suited to complex meal preparation, the utensils and cookware were very limited. Not having access to the outdoor area meant that socializing was limited to the kitchen area.

Oaxaca Family Vacation
Gerardo was a wonderful host and great at getting back to me quickly regarding any questions I had regarding the reservation. Access to the site was easy and everything was ready when we arrived. I am allergic to dust mites so a clean dust free environment is important to me and the house was very clean. The house itself is beautiful and the location was great. I was traveling with older family members and we were easily able to walk comfortably to the zocalo, church and restaurants. Saved tons by not having to take cabs everywhere. There is also a large artesanias market about 4 blocks away within easy walking distance. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and the location was definitely a great choice for us. Thank you Gerardo!

The house is pretty unique, elegant, very comfortable, spacious, and has everything we needed. The hosts were so helpful and provided even more than we expected; they did everything in their power (provided a garage) so we could feel comfortable. The bread, coffee, and chocolate were treats we did not expect from them. The kitchen is fully equipped so we were able to prepare breakfast. It is well located, markets and the heart of Oaxaca were at walking distance. I highly recommend this property.

Gerardo is a great host and helpful with recommendations. The location is great with both markets minutes away as well as the Zocalo. It is in El Centro district with lots of activity and shops but quiet at night.

A perfect stay for Dia de Los Muertos!
Had a perfect stay for 8 days in Oaxaca. Gerardo was a perfect host and provided a seamless check- in as well as recommendations for events during our week. He was prompt to reply to our questions and requests and was very polite and professional throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this house as it was central to the zocalo and most neighborhoods were walking distance to the Ouse. With plenty of rooms and bathrooms, our party of 5 were very comfortable. I would stay there again for sure!

Spacious and convenient
We stayed there for 9 days to experience Oaxaca and Dia de los Muertos. Gerardo was a great host, great communication and got us a few things we needed in the house. The house is located 2 blocks away from Centro and around the corner from the market. Overall we were very pleased!
