Easy access to San Francisco via freeway or BART. Newly refurbished with all new paint, floors, appliances and fixtures but retaining the original architecture for an authentic Oakland vibe. West Oakland is one of Oakland's hip and up and coming neighborhoods. nearby is a new housing development and much of the area is being renewed while much of of the area retains the old world charm with many Victorian and Edwardian homes. There are eateries and coffee shops within walking distance or downtown Oakland, Emeryville or the very hip Rockridge districts are a short drive. You'll have exclusive access to the entire 2br/2ba upper house 2br/1ba lower unit along with the small cottage in the rear which has a kitchenette, bathroom and sleeping area. Providing a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The main house has an electronic lock you'll use to access and secure the home. Both off-street parking spaces are for your use. The property is fenced and has parking spaces for 2 cars off street. The main house upper unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One is a master suite and the other bedroom is just off the main bathroom and kitchen. The lower unit has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. One is a queen bed room and the other is a smaller room with a full bed. Up the main stairs, through the front door is a foyer. On the left is a living room. Next is the large open concept dining room/kitchen with an eat at island. Just off the kitchen is the first bedroom and the main bathroom. Beyond that off the back of the kitchen is the 2nd bedroom with a en-suite bathroom. The lower unit is accessible along the right side of the house step down to the door. There is a small kitchen, living and dining space along with the 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. If you go down the right side of the house to the back garden you'll find a nice sitting area in front of the back cottage. Both the house and cottage are air conditioned for maximum comfort. This house is very close to the freeway on-ramp with direct access to San Francisco. The West Oakland BART station is not far as another option to quickly get to San Francisco or around the bay. AC Transit busses will take you to downtown Oakland, or elsewhere nearby. Great home in really really rough area. Every Uber advised against going out after dark, carrying backpacks or bags. This home in any other location would have been a 5 star. The listing suggested an up and coming "hip" area of Oakland. We didn't speak with anyone who thought that and it did not feel like it an area being gentrified. We almost asked to move but decided to stay and just shut ourselves in since we would only be there at night to sleep. Did not feel safe at all. In terms of "location" I do not feel the advertising was accurate. Our group was two men and one woman - professionals. Not people easily "scared". House was great. Location not so much ##### Jan K.
