The highlights were the porch with an ocean view and cool breezes, and the proximity to the ocean. It was a short three minute walk. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook almost every dinner at home. James, iTrip owner, was very responsive to any questions/ issues that arose during our stay. There were plenty of beach chairs, games and toys to use at the beach. There was even workout equipment! Seems the owners had thought of everything for a great stay. Aug 18, 2025 #### Great Stay We had a wonderful stay in Oak Island at a home managed by iTrip. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, and ice cream, which was a big hit with our families. The house itself was beautiful, very clean, and offered the perfect amount of space and bathrooms for everyone to feel comfortable. That said, there are a few things that could really improve the experience for future guests. The house wasn’t stocked with any dish towels, and the number of bath towels/washcloths provided was very limited, which meant we had to do laundry much more often than expected. For the cost of the rental, it would have been greatly appreciated to have more basics included—such as garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and toilet paper—so that guests don’t have to buy full supplies for just a week and then leave them behind. Finally, the storage area of the home could definitely use some ventilation. It had a strong musty/moldy odor that made it unpleasant to use.
