Bike, walk or drive to ocean (0.7-0.8 mils). Complimentary adult bike, wagon, chairs, beach toys; free parking, basketball hoop, and Golf cart (has to be 25 yo, sign the contract, add driver license and insurance and pay $60 a day charge for each booked day for duration of stay in order to use it. FREE Parking at the beach with our golf cart! No refund given due to operator error and/or issue is not addressed during stay or poor weather conditions. The Master bedroom has a king-size bed with attached bathroom, 55 inches TV, arm chair. 2nd bedroom has queen bed, pack and play, convertible couch to bedc great for toddlers (use an additional 2 inch mattress from trundle; an additional room has 2 bunk beds (twin and full bed per bedroom) and twin trundle to use. All beds have memory foam mattresses for sleeping comfort, TVs with abilities to get connected to your favorite service. New game room has 2 couches, AC/heater, TV, and game tables(ping pong, ice hockey). House and backyard Can text the owner any time; very responsive at reasonable times. Quiet area of Oak island beach, close to the new bridge, walking, biking or driving to the beach, around 100 yards to a fishing dock, fall asleep with oak island tranquility(depending on a tide, most evenings can hear ocean waves like you are on the beach). 2-3 mins drive or ride a bike to the beach with a free parking, or walk (0.7 ml) through 1st street and then new bridge. Public fishing dock at the end of the street, several steps away. Kayak access on the next street (5th). House has: New hot spa. Complimentary 2 adult/teen bikes; Ace hockey and pingpong tables fire pit with chairs Charcoal grill Linens and towels are included at no additional cost Outside shower with hot and cold water. Yoga mat. Electrical car charging outlet. Complimentary coffee, shampoo, shower gel, makeup removal, liquid dishwasher and washer detergents are provided for the first several days! Large driveway that can easily park 3 cars. It is large enough to hold your personal boat. One level living but requires stairs as our house is built on piles; some movement is normal. Guest access Home access is by keypad, entry code will be given on your arrival day. Other things to note: Beaches do not have lifeguards. Hurricane season is June 1 to November 1\. This area does get hurricanes and the town may require mandatory evacuation. Bridges to Oak Island will close with winds sustained at 45 MPH or greater. The evacuation bridge 2 mins away. Other things to note: Our home has a professional pest control but can not 100% get rid of Palmetto bugs during summer. As with many coastal beach areas, Oak Island has black flies, mosquitos, snakes, Alligators, Deer, and sharks. Minimum age is 25 years old to book, maximum 6 adults; maximum number of people 8 Only dogs allowed, small up to 2, under 25 lb dogs are allowed to come, not puppies. Guest must disclose to the owner/manager if bringing a dog; penalty up to $500 for not disclosing or violating these rules. Please bring own pet food, bed, cage is needed. No dogs on furniture. Successive barking is prohibited. Dog’s owner is responsible for any damages created by his dog. The stay went seamless with very nice and prompt communication with the host. There were 5 adults and a teenager. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. Didn’t realize that the game room is separate from the house, so no game/kid noise which is good for teens, maybe not smaller kids. Everything was smooth with check-in and communication. Just a tad farther from the beach than we like but understood that when we booked. Definitely don’t hear traffic or people tho so that’s a plus. We have loved visiting Oak Island for its small town feel for 25 years. This house was perfectly comfortable for our family and grandchildren. Everyone had plenty of room to relax, play and enjoy our visit. The backyard was wonderful, play/game room was entertaining and the hot tub was so nice as well. From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much care and attention the owners put into maintaining the property. Everything was clean, organized, and thoughtfully stocked — far beyond what we expected.We cooked our full Thanksgiving meal here, and to our surprise, the kitchen had everything we needed… even a turkey platter and a roasting pan (which we’d packed “just in case” but never needed!). The complimentary toiletries and starter supplies lasted us well over half the week, which was such a nice touch.Our kids would have stayed in the game room 24/7 if we’d let them — foosball, ice hockey, ping-pong… they were in heaven. When we weren’t playing games, we were either at the beach or down at the dock. We visited every single day, and the fishing was phenomenal! We came home with nine gallon-size bags of black drum and whiting fillets. We even caught a few flounder, though they were out of season. Honestly, our kids could have fished from sunrise to sunset.Evenings were magical — fires in the fire pit, soaking in the brand-new hot tub while Christmas carols played, and enjoying the peaceful quiet of the cul-de-sac. Me and my family stayed here for two weeks, we Absolutely loved it! My kids loved the game room, and the bikes. I love the back yard that is fenced in that kept my youngest from wondering upfront from me! I would have loved to rent a go cart but it just wasn’t in our budget unfortunately. We used our vehicles each time to go take the beach. It was to far to walk with young kids and bringing stuff. It is a beautiful property, very clean and well maintained. On a great family friendly, and quiet street. Super short walking distance to fishing dock at the end of the street- which my family really enjoyed-and we did manage to catch a couple of fish! Our kids absolutely loved the game room set up in the garage and spent a lot of time there. They enjoyed the double bunk set up in their room as well. Us adults enjoyed the lovely screened in porch area, hot tub and awesome outdoor shower! This came in especially handy after a day at the beach. The beach is just a short drive away (maybe 5 min depending on where on the beach you want to go). The house was stocked with most of what you would need and plenty of thoughtful extras. I would visit this property even during off season given all of the amenities (hot tub, fire pit, game room, etc.). Communication was great and easy. Hope to be able to return! ##### Lee C.
