That is the biggest pro to this property! The enclosed sun room offers GREAT views on the water - LOVED IT! The fact we could bring our doggos made it extra special :-) Checking was a breeze and the hosts were very prompt in their communication :-) There are a few sand toys for kids (didn't apply to us) but there are no other water/beach type equipment to enhance the stay (although there are rentals nearby it would have been nice to have had a paddle board, water mat, etc to be able to use). The listing stated there was a foot scrubber by the back door but it was not there during our stay. There is an outdoor shower sprayer so that was very helpful in keeping the sand from inside the home. There was a fire pit on the patio and a few logs nearby so we were able to have a fire but only for one night due to no other wood available. Also (and no fault to the host) the stable flies are INTENSE this time of year - BRING BUG SPRAY DURING THE SUMMER!.The beds.. not so comfy :-( The home truly could use some outdoor seating - that was a BIG con to this trip. The host does provide 3 folding lawn chairs but there is nothing else available for the patio (also an outdoor table of sorts could be very helpful for dining perhaps with an umbrella). We also experienced a lot of issues trying to get the TV to connect so we ended up having to screen cast from our phones if we wanted to watch any TV. Lake Erie beachfront cottage was in a beautiful setting and definitely right on the water. It was beautiful with lots of gorgeous swallows, purple martens, seabirds and geese. There were several items that were not onsite that were included in the listing, such as; a fire extinguisher, hair dryer and a working outside shower and hose to rinse the sand off. We did inform the management about these missing items, but no action was taken. The master bedroom definitely needs at least one dresser and a nightstand to make guests more comfortable. The ceiling fan should have a light, just like the other bedroom has, because the lighting in the master is poor.
