My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much and we plan to make it a tradition! It was exceptionally Clean, efficient and at a wonderful location! The Garden was absolutely the best place to catch the morning sun, relax and enjoy the ocean breezes and read a book! Thank you!!

Fine lodging near the beach
MV hotel had a beachy vibe style, comfortable, conveniently located to beach, restaurants and shopping. Staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. Nice lodging esp if traveling with your pet.

Everything was great except for the hot water for the shower. There were 2 of us staying and the hot water only lasted about 2 minutes. Not very happy about that.

Super quaint old fashion beach motel!
MV Surfside motel makes me take a step back in time to the older beach motels of years ago. It is on the older side but is super quaint and extremely clean. We had an end room that had a view of the ocean and of town it was outstanding and will be where I stay if I ever make it back to Martha’s Vineyard. The staff were courteous and friendly and the gardens were beautiful. A lot of love and pride goes into this little gem of a motel that reminds me so much of simpler times.

We only stayed here one night as we were checking into a vacation rental when the whole family arrived the next day. The property is quite and clean. Be aware that some rooms do not have a view; you get what you pay for. The best part was the location and walkability.

when we arrived around noon, our room was ready which we were very happy about, but big disappointment when we saw the room. They gave us the the worst room they had with only 1 small 2x2 widow surrounded by walls with practically no sunlight coming in and had no choice but turn on light during day time. We told front desk we could not stay in that room and they said they had another room that we would prefer but at $140 with tax or $200 CA This one was much better with lots of sunlight and we said this is good, but then they said that this the only room available and we had to pay the upgrade. This really look like that is a practice they do to get you to pay the upgrade

The mattress was lumpy (as well as the floor), it was noisy, and could use a remodel. It was more like a motel.

The property is nothing fancy, but the staff, location, amenities and overall experience was exceptional. We had a third floor corner room with great views of downtown and the Sound. The bike rental folks next door are the absolute best. I would stay here again. Affordable and close to good food.

This hotel was in an ideal location if arriving via ferry on foot. It was quaint with a beautiful garden courtyard. Staff was very attentive to making our stay perfect. Yes, this hotel was old…as are many on Martha’s Vineyard. But, it was well maintained and clean. Though it was in the center of the hustle and bustle of summer in Oak Bluffs, we were surprised at how quiet our room was.

Very neat, clean and cozy. Bathroom blinds were missing a slat detracting a bit and block out curtains didn't quite do the trick at the top and bottom but I find this to be almost universal in all hotels. Garden area with seating was well keep and inviting. Overall we had an excellent experience.
