« Bring earplugs &/or white noise. You’re sharing a home with the hosts, so sounds from their living area leak past interior doors.
Kudos to them for being willing to share an attached dwelling with strangers — I don’t think I could!
Other things to be aware of:
You may be charged $25 extra if unable to check in at the appointed time.
The short access road is bumpy, dusty gravel. Otherwise, all routes are paved.
Room was very clean and nicely appointed. It was nice to meet their dogs and cats...

« I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The house was very well equipped and well maintained. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of having pet bowls available and a pet cover on the sofa. My dogs enjoyed the view in front of the large sliding doors. The beds were very comfortable too. It felt very private yet we were close to all of the stores and restaurants in Oakhurst. I appreciated Mary's communicative nature - she was informative and highly responsive. I look forward to returning in the not too distant...

« This property is on the top of our list- we love the mountain cabin vibe and it really delivers. Lots of huge trees and native shrubs make you feel alone in the wilderness and provide a perfect screen between the cabin and its neighbors. Quiet. Private. And it has everything you need. Kitchen is really well appointed (I haven’t yet used all of the appliances that are available, but I’ll get to it!) and there’s even a washer and dryer on the covered back porch. Two comfy chairs and a serene view...
