Blofield House is a stunning Georgian Country House, approached by a fine sweeping gravelled driveway surrounded by extensive grounds approaching 18 acres. The period features within the house are typical of the Georgian era boasting high ceilings, and big windows allowing plenty of light to spill into the large rooms. At the rear is a large seating terrace, with a pergola providing a delightful area for al fresco entertainment. The large formal lawns surround the house, with an array of established trees providing plenty of seclusion and privacy. Boasting an outdoor heated swimming pool (seasonal opening), and beyond the pool is a hard tennis court for guests’ enjoyment. Step inside and you are greeted by an impressive reception hall, the graceful sweeping staircase serves access to the dual aspect drawing room with marble fireplace and wood burner. A dual aspect sitting room has doors leading to the garden terrace, and a spacious dining room, perfect to celebrate any occasion in style. The beautiful bespoke kitchen/breakfast room is well equipped to delight any chef, and double doors lead out onto the garden seating terrace. There is a double bedroom on ground floor with toilet facilities. On the first floor there are seven more wonderful bedrooms; the master super king bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and dressing room, another super king bedroom with en-suite shower, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two kingsize bedrooms and two twin-bedded rooms, and two further well-equipped bathrooms. Being a stone’s throw away from the Norfolk Broads National Park and its stunning coastline, this is an ideal base for exploring the beauty of this enchanting region. Whether you’re exploring the tranquil beauty of the Norfolk Broads or enjoying wide sandy beaches along the stunning coastline, adventure awaits just moments from your doorstep. Daily boat hire, canoe, kayaking, paddle boarding lessons and equipment hire available locally, also plentiful with riverside pubs to enjoy. For amazing wide sandy beaches backed by dunes at Winterton-on-sea, Horsey, Waxton and Sea Palling, to provide endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Seaside resort of Great Yarmouth offers traditional seaside fun. Within the village of Blofield is a golf course with club house, driving range, and pirate pitch and putt. Within 2 minutes’ drive is an award-winning Indian restaurant, shop and a farm shop selling local produce. Great walks, and excellent cycling routes from doorstep. The area is very popular with local road cycle clubs that welcome riders of all abilities. Brundall, 6 minutes’ drive, with train station, two pubs, restaurants, boat hire, supermarket, and butchers.
