The view and the location on the water was perfect and the home was beautiful. The pictures of the home honestly don’t do it justice. It’s a fantastic space that is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. We brought our kayaks and were able to use the paved road/launch next to the house to put them in the water. Easy access for that for sure and a lovely lake for paddling. We used the gas bbq grill both nights and enjoyed the cool breeze and the view from the porch. It was so nice to just visit with family and take in the last few days of summer together. The breeze on the back porch and watching boats float by while sitting on the dock lowered our blood pressure considerably. Would stay here again if we find ourselves in the area! We were searching for a nice setting to spend an extended weekend with our UA student. I wanted to be able to cook his favorite meal and relax on a couch afterwards to watch some favorite movies. A place that would give us that "at home" feel, if only for a few days. After searching the VRBO site, we found the beautiful and affordable Southern Shore Cottage. In fact, this spacious rental cost less than some of the nicest hotels in town! A favorite part of the weekend was enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck early morning and taking in the lake view and sounds of nature. It was absolute bliss! The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary amenities. My son's roommates joined us for dinner and there were ample dishes, glassware, etc., to accommodate our group. The bedding and towels in the bedrooms rival luxury hotel standards. The primary bedroom upstairs includes a large ensuite bathroom. The downstairs bedrooms are HUGE and share another spacious bathroom. (The mattresses in the bedrooms were all extremely comfortable, as well!) This rental offers a lot of privacy and would be an excellent choice for families sharing a rental. Tanner, the homeowner, was very helpful and responsive from the moment we booked our stay. We highly recommend this amazing property and hope to visit again soon! ##### Evelyn C.
