We cater to family reunions, group gatherings of all kinds, workshops, seminars, church groups, corporate retreats and housing for businesses that need temporary accommodations for their work crew. Nestled in the foothills of the Tahoe National Forest, our Retreat Center offers a variety of accommodations to suit your needs, from 10 to 60\. We are six minutes to several locations on the Yuba River and twenty minutes to Bullard’s Bar. Located just 15 short miles from the historic communities of Nevada City and Grass Valley, Willow Springs is a place to escape and re-connect with what is important, creating memories. We also incorporate principles of sustainability at Willow Springs, with an on-site educational herb and permaculture garden for which a self-tour is available (free) and a guided tour upon request. Fresh produce possible depending upon season and availability. This listing is for the reservation of our Lodge. However, We have multiple options for housing to accommodate your group if you need to add additional accommodations. I have outlined the options below. You can choose one or more of the following: LODGE: (Maximum Occupancy 20 People) The newly renovated Willow Springs Lodge was designed for comfort for large gatherings with a spacious living room/dining room/wet bar area and a well-equipped chef’s kitchen to feed your group efficiently. Soak in the 6-person spa, spoil yourself with our wood-burning sauna or just enjoy our private patio with its relaxing triple waterfall feature. Thirteen beds in all ranging from private queen suits to twin beds tucked away on the second floor. More information is available at www.WillowSpringsLodge.com/blogs. FAMILY ANNEX: (Maximum Occupancy 12 People) This is an add-on to the Lodge if your party needs more beds for groups that exceed 20 people. This cozy living room-style building is located directly adjacent to the Lodge and offers one private room, a unique elevated “crow’s nest” loft, two queen/twin bunk beds and a sleeper sofa. GROUP CAMPGROUND: (Maximum Occupancy 30 People) Our campground, just a short walk from the Lodge, can be rented by itself or in addition to the Lodge. The one-acre fenced-in area allows for guests to bring their dogs and pitch tents in a protected area with an expansive view. Camp cooking has never been easier, as the community kitchen is well equipped with 2 full-sized refrigerators, gas stove/oven, pots and pans, dishware, silverware, triple sink, and two outdoor barbeques. The cooks will especially appreciate our unique outdoor “dishwashing station” for each individual (even kids!) to efficiently wash their own dishes instead of using throw-away plastic for each meal. ADDITIONAL LODGING IN CAMPGROUND AREA: YURT: (Maximum Occupancy 4 People) A 20’ yurt equipped with a full bed and queen sofa is an additional rental available for members of your camping group that would like a bed, sofa, and table and chairs. Limited electricity is available for lighting, cell phone charging, cpap machines, etc. Use of the Yurt also includes use of the Community Kitchen/Bath House. See below for even more options. BUNK HOUSE: (Maximum Occupancy 6 People) Our new bunk house has 3 twin bunkbeds to sleep six people. A covered deck area provides shade in the summer and escape from those occasional days of rain. Limited electricity is available for lighting, cell phone charging, cpap machines, etc. Use of the bunk house also includes use of the Community Kitchen/Bath House. See below for even more options. RV SITES: We have numerous RV sites available with water only, water and sewer only, and full hookups including electricity. We have a minimum charge for van parking where no services are offered except use of the Community Kitchen/Bath House. RETREAT FACILITIES: In addition to lodging, Willow Springs offers retreat facilities for group events that can be added to your lodging reservation. YOGA STUDIO: Our 1200 square foot yoga studio is ideal for movement classes or meeting area for workshops and seminars. Equipped with a small kitchen for snacks and food service, the yoga studio is directly adjacent to the Lodge with ample parking out front. PAVILION AND EVENT TERRACE: The pavilion is a covered structure open on three sides to heighten your experience of enjoyment of the outdoors. This 1700 square foot building is a great spot for group events with tables and chairs for 40 available upon request. The Event Terrace is located directly behind the pavilion and serves as a ceremonial or celebration space for weddings, intimate gatherings or other group activities. THE MEDIA CENTER & OUTDOOR BEVERAGE BAR: Located between the Lodge and the Pavilion, the Media Center is available for your audio and video recording needs or for other group activities, as needed. The outdoor, lighted deck serves as a great place for a band to perform while people are stepping up to the bar for a beverage of their choice. The set up was marvelous for our family of 43\. The beds were comfortable, and spaces were well-equipped. The kitchen was our main selling point. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to prepare and serve food. Inside plus outside seating easily accommodated our large group. The weather was too warm to have a campfire, but the campfire space was an excellent outdoor gathering space. Mark and Trish are fantastic hosts! We came from southern CA, OR, CO and WA. Three of our group had travel trailers which we set up at designated sites. The house is very up-to-date, and the commercial kitchen is something we’ve never seen at a VRBO home. There are many themes going on with the property. Kids ranged from 2 months to 20 years. They enjoyed the chickens, the hot tub (with adult supervision), and just exploring the place. Because it was warm, we used the open, covered pavilion for evening meals and group games. We had a fire in the fire pit each evening. Mark recommended a place called Oregon Creek day use area, just down the road. Some of our group went there every day during our stay, and the kids and adults had a good time in the water. We found a place about 20 miles away where we could do some shooting in the National Forest, after checking with the Ranger Station. What was interesting about Willow Springs was the variety of features on the premises. Kids had places to play, adults had areas in which to visit, both indoors and outdoors. ##### Tom R. Though we did not rent the entire property, they allowed us and our family to wander around and use, what I will call, the pavilion for some evening dancing and music. My out-of-state family was able to rent two of the cabins separately, so they were on the property as well. The lodge Does not picture nearly as cute as it actually is. The hobbit room in the pictures appears to be much bigger than it really is. The commercial kitchen was easy to use and had very clear and concise instructions written both in the manual/welcome book, and also on the walls near whatever item you were using. We cooked some very large meals for over 35 people. Another part of our family was able to rent a cabin nearby, so they joined us for all of the meals. Again, I would say the pictures do not do this property justice. The hosts were a pleasure to work with and easy to make contact with. The backyard is a very peaceful place to hang out and talk; along with multiple other places on the property. I would definitely go back to this property for another family reunion, or a weekend getaway in one of the cabins. We spent an entire day at the river only five minutes away. Great paddle boarding area, barbecuing, and rope swings and swimming. So much fun for family. It is just 30-50 feet from the highway which made it a little scary to have a little kids out front, but the backyard is sufficient for the kids to play around. Cars do drive by way too fast sometimes, but it is hardly noticeable when you’re having such a good time. Thank you for letting us celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday at your property, hopefully we will be back sometime soon. ##### Dustin D. It was an awesome vacation which all of us enjoyed to the fullest. The property is located by the side of highway 49 and easy to access with ample parking g space. It is well maintained and situated within a 4-acres property, with its own nursery growing various gourmet spices and herbs; and chicken coop for children to enjoy. Patricia and Mark are very gracious hosts and reside in adjoining 14 acres property. So, we had in effect an 18 acres property where children could run around, play, feed the chicken under watchful eyes of the manager - Ms. Anne. We enjoyed the fire pit in the night, playing and dancing to music with no one to complain! Daytime trips were to South Yuba river beach, where the children enjoyed the water and other nearby hiking trails. They all expressed that the home was clean, spacious, and an overall "cool place". The kids loved the outdoor space! Patricia was very communicative and helpful with information about the area and recreation. So phenomenal and well appointed in each space. Designed thoughtfully for a relaxing get away. We had a women’s retreat and the set up of the rooms were done in such a way to accommodate both privacy or price from private rooms with beautiful bathrooms to adorable attic dorm room for sharing. There’s no way to speak to each well appointed space to spend time together, alone and in between. There’s even a room outside the building for extra peace and quiet and privacy. Let me tell you, the commercial kitchen was a joy to use. So easy to prepare clean up meals. Behind the lodge, beautiful and relaxing water features with multiple places to gather or be alone. Thoughtfully appointed for relaxation and comfort. Amazing hosts, so helpful, thoughtful, friendly. Blessed our sox off! ##### Heidi A. The place was clean and the owner made and effort to explain all details to how they want the place to look before we leave. The small creek with the waterfall is so nice and relaxing. The house had ample amount of space. The outdoors is amazing. The patio and the back Pavillion to hold events. This place is magical and surreal. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back. The hosts were amazing. They were nearby and just a call away if anything happens.
