"We really enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Galena! It is located a bit out of town, so you do need to drive to visit downtown Galena, but there is ample parking available. This hotel feels newer, was very clean, and the service was excellent at check-in, checkout, and when we needed dinner recommendations. Our kids had fun at the pool and playing with the life-size chess set. The breakfast buffet was standard Wyndham fare, with a few hot options (eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes), the pancake machine, and lots of cold/prepackaged foods available (bagels, yogurts, etc.). The only hiccups I experienced were that the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, and the trash in the breakfast bar wasn’t emptied regularly, so it was overflowing. But if those are the only concerns I had, then I’d say it was a pretty good stay, and I’d stay here again."

"We stayed here after losing power during a storm and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious with a large TV, and while we didn’t get to use the pool, it appeared very clean and well-kept. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, which was a nice bonus. The only drawback was not being informed about the $100 deposit until after booking. "
