Niantic Vacation Packages

A really nice jewel in this CT coast. I found it thanks to Expedia and it didn’t disappoint. Super large king room. The property is gorgeous. Gardens and decks provide best views of the sound. A great spot for sunset

Normally, I don’t put too much stock into the reviews that you read, but these were spot on. You definitely got what you paid for in this hotel was by far in the cheaper end for parents weekend down at Quinnipiac University. The hotel is clearly under massive renovations they don’t hide it nor do they clean up in or around their project areas. There was a general file order to the entire place while I will say our room was moderately clean. It was not one of the more updated rooms and noticeable damage, stains, etc.. The bartender however at the pub that’s featured at the hotel was quite lovely and a lot of the Quinnipiac parents enjoyed having conversations and sharing time around the pub in the evening.

I have never experienced anything like this. I reserved and paid for my room in advance, only to arrive and be told the hotel was overbooked and there was an issue with my reservation. I cannot understand how a guest can have a confirmed, prepaid reservation and still be left without a room. What made it worse was the lack of concern from management. There seemed to be little regard for what happens to a guest who arrives expecting a room and suddenly has nowhere to stay. This hotel is part of the Hilton brand, and my reservation was booked and paid through Expedia. I expected much better from two major companies. Calling Expedia made the situation even worse. They repeatedly contacted the hotel to confirm it was overbooked, apologized, and said they would transfer me to a specialist to find another hotel. After waiting about 30 minutes, the call would disconnect. I would call back, explain everything again, and repeat the same process. After 2 hours, there was still no solution, no sense of urgency, and very little concern. Instead, I was met with attitude and poor customer service. Because neither the hotel nor Expedia provided a solution, we were left with nowhere to stay and had to sleep in our vehicle. I would not recommend booking through Expedia or staying at a Hilton property, especially this hotel. No traveler should have to experience this level of stress, disrespect, and lack of consideration after paying in advance for a confirmed reservation!
