A portion of the pet fee goes to support our local pet rescue – Angel’s Rest.) \-Private parking for up to 2-3 vehicles, contactless check in \-Electric fireplace, central heating and air conditioning \-High speed WiFi and TV with access to streaming services Butterfly Cottage was designed by a well-respected local architect (Victor Tarnoy) and offers a spacious and luxurious open floor plan, with cathedral ceilings, great room and a wrap-around deck for outdoor living - all within a short stroll of the lake, oldest golf course in North America and historic downtown shopping, dining, theatre and culture. The main floor of Butterfly Cottage you will find the fully-equipped kitchen: \-Drip-coffee maker and kettle with enough coffee and tea to get you started \-Sugar packets, salt, and pepper \-Microwave, toaster, flat top stove, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher \-Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses (including wine glasses) \-Non-stick spray, paper towels, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloths Everything you need to set the table for a meal with family and friends. The dining area has an extra-large farmer table with seating up to 8 guests! There is a bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed. Large living room with television, electric fireplace, and piano! Plenty of windows for you to relax and watch the butterflies and enjoy the natural sunlight! There is a bathroom with a tub and shower combination! The main floor laundry is located next to the kitchen supplied with: \-Laundry soap, stain remover and dryer sheets. Bedding, towels, hair dryer, facial and toilet tissue, shampoo, and hand soap are also provided. Walking up to the 2nd level of Butterfly Cottage on wooden stairs are 3 additional bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and the 3rd bedroom has a set of twin beds. The bathroom showcases a claw foot tub and shower combo. Imagine yourself on a sunny day sitting in a rocking chair on the porch sipping Niagara-on-the-lake's award-winning wine, eating fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, and enjoying a gas BBQ/grill with family and friends. The management company was quick to respond to my inquiries although I would have preferred receiving the check-in codes the day before our arrival rather than same day. It made the process slightly more stressful since we were already in transit by the time we had the information. The home was well stocked with comfortable beds and good kitchen amenities. We were able to prepare meals and enjoy relaxation time in the large dining / living room area. The home was a 20 minute walk to historic downtown which gave our group the option to walk or drive. The location is perfect- a block from the lake and an easy walk to Old Town. The cottage itself is clean, cozy, and well maintained. The owners just did a complete upstairs bathroom renovation, and it looks so good! We enjoyed sitting at the large dining room table, and playing games in front of the gas fireplace. The beds are very comfortable, too! We plan to make NOL an annual trip, and I will always stay at the Butterfly Cottage. ##### Carol M. Walking distance to old town and 2 areas of lake access through beautiful, established neighborhood. Plenty of room for our family and dog, cute little backyard with tree swing and pond. Neighbors were very welcoming and friendly. Our son uses a manual wheelchair and after we helped him up the first 2 small steps into the home, the first floor living area and bedroom worked well for him. Bathroom isn’t truly accessible, but worked for him/us as we help him with all care, but an independent wheelchair user would likely find bathroom access challenging. Very clean with lots of seating areas inside and out. Good quality linens and towels. There were 7 of us and felt there was plenty of room for us all. The only thing I would point out is the shower upstairs is a claw foot tub with a shower curtain around it. Those of us using that bathroom found it a bit of a hazard when in the shower as the curtain was long and you were stepping on it while showering as you couldn't have it outside of the tub. It was about a 25 min walk to most restaurants which as fine as we needed the walk after dinner. Would definitely recommend staying here with a group of family or friends. ##### Alana B. Quiet restful back deck and sitting area. Great beds, nicely decorated, comfy sitting room, open concept made for easy meal prep without missing out on conversation in the sitting area. Well appointed kitchen with thoughtful starters supplied :) Loved the lavender soap/shampoo that was supplied as well. Great water pressure in the shower, and a wonderful claw foot tub upstairs.
