In the heart of Galloway Forest Park, one of the world’s few ‘Dark Skies Parks’, this unique, detached barn conversion, with private home pub and private deck with American hot tub, boasts spectacular views over the Galloway Hills. With over 2800 square miles of coastline, forests and mountains, and wildlife, walking and cycling on the doorstep, this secluded holiday escape has easy access to outdoor pursuits. Shop 8 miles, restaurant/pub 1½ miles.. All on the Ground Floor: Living/dining room: Freeview TV, DVD Player, CD Player, Ipod Dock, DVDs, CDs, Woodburner Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washer Dryer Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity and logs for wood burner (£50 October-April), bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Enclosed large decked area with garden furniture. Hot tub (private, £30 per booking October-April). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No children. There are 3 steps to the decked area. This property has a security deposit of £120 and a natural water supply from a well. Free WiFi There is a winter fuel supplement of £50 and Hot Tub supplement of £30.00 payable in cash on arrival for bookings between October and April inclusive. The £80 must be handed over in cash on arrival only please. The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply. No children or babies allowed. The time we spent at The Orangerie really was a welcome get away from the hustle and bustle ! The property was very clean, the hot tub was an excellent addition to the comfortable surroundings and the location was just far enough away from the nearest town and civilisation but close enough if you needed any groceries. We enjoyed a 5 mile walk in the Glentrool Forest and also a day bimbling around the Mull of Galloway, must see the lighthouse and Port Patrick. Our welcome pack contained some delicious smoke salmon, which is smoked on site. We can't speak highly enough about our positive experience staying at The Orangerie ! Thank you for your hospitality Vincent and Ruby. We will be back !
