THE LODGE IS UPDATED AND MAINTAINED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD. WE HAVE INSTALLED A 50 INCH 4K SMART TV with WiFi and NETFLIX. The holiday Lodge at Atlantic Reach was built in 2005 to contemporary design and a high specification including central heating and double glazing. It is very spacious having a large open plan living area including a fully fitted and equipped kitchen and has FOUR double bedrooms and THREE bathrooms. We are situated within a highly regarded Award Winning Resort and Spa which is open all year round and positioned in a great central location in Cornwall. We are very accessible, being just a few minutes from the A30 dual carriageway and in a fantastic central location to explore the whole of Cornwall, especially the stunning Cornish coastline with its internationally renowned surfing beaches. The resort has been further improved and modernised in recent years and now boasts leisure facilities that are among the very best in the South West. These include indoor heated swimming pool with a extra warm shallow toddlers pool, a fantastically equipped state of the art gym and a number of studios offering a huge variety of classes to suit all levels of fitness, such as body pump, various types of yoga, Pilates, a spinning studio, zumba and aqua aerobics to name just a few. This is complemented by a newly refitted café and bar, serving freshly prepared meals and snacks including a good range of healthy options as well as delicious home made cakes and of course Cornish Cream Teas. Bathroom was clean but needed a bit of maintenance as looking a bit tired.Check in was confusing, as the "temporary" reception area has no signage inside or outside of the building. The onsite facilities were poor, outdoor areas needed maintenance and a good gardener. In our weeks stay we never once managed to use the indoor pool, the booking system for this needs re- thinking, people book to swim but don't turn up on time, yet their swim session is not given to others who are waiting to swim. An onsite shop would be very useful. Not much there for teenagers. However it is in a good location amd you do need transport to get around as nearest bus stop is over 1 mile away. ##### Sonya B. This visit it was a shame to see that the standard has slipped ! The upkeep of the outside areas has gone down hill, weeds, dead plants, all the cobbles and indeed the slabs around the properties making it look worn. Our party consisted of 5 adults and 2 children and we all easily fit around the dining table and in the spacious lounge area. The kitchen was well equipped for those wanting to cook a meal (we ate out most days). It was great having 3 bathrooms - after a day at the beach we didn't all have to queue for a shower (lovely and powerful by the way). We weren't always able to park outside our lodge but there was always somewhere to park close by. The shared area at the back of the lodge was great for the children to run about and play. The booking system for the pool was easy enough and you get to stay for 90 minutes per session which the children loved. We only used the indoor pool as it was a bit too chilly to brave the outside one although some people did! The outdoor play area was great and was situated right by the pub! There are supermarkets and shops close by but there is also a shop on the park with prices actually quite reasonable. There is a great pub nearby called The Blue Anchor. We ate there twice - the food is delicious (especially the seafood) and portions are very generous. There are plenty of beaches nearby that are family and dog friendly. I would highly recommend this lodge, this park and this area. ##### Paul B. I have taken a number of photos and will be lodging a formal complaint with HomeAway as well shortly. This is unacceptable and breaches internet purchase consumer rights. ##### Richard P. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Lauren K. 7 sept. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Wonderful family holiday As an extended family (five adults and three children) we all really loved our stay at Atlantic Reach. The house is roomy and really well equipped and we had lots of space. The three bathrooms were particularly appreciated! We dined in a lot and the kitchen is really well kitted out with everything you might need. The living room is comfortable and well laid out and really we couldn’t fault it. Everything was also very clean and in good working order. The children loved the indoor pool and the soft play area and the site was ideal for them in that respect. I used the gym which was also great! The outside pool isn’t heated and was too cold for us to use, which was a shame, but we spent most days at the beach anyway. The main issue we had with the site was the lack of public transport to Newquay. There is a bus, but it stops running back to the site very early, so there was no way of enjoying a night in Newquay without the use of a taxi. But overall we had a lovely week and the house was really perfect for us; thank you! ##### Lauren K. We were however dismayed that there was no washing machine either in the house or on the holiday park. We were staying for a week with 3 small children and this caused us a lot of inconvience involving a search and a trip or two into Newquay. We also expected there to be some sort of entertainment/activities on for the children since it was half-term but there was nothing. The pool and cafe were great though. ##### Florence P. Hi Kamla, happy new year! Our stay was lovely, thank you so much we would like to come back again later. There are many places to visit in that lovely region. The facilities was great as well. The problem we had was with the hot water and heating. On the second day we had not hot water until 10:00 pm. During night time was very hot as opposite to day time. We had another friend stayed in the different house in Atlantic Rich in the same time as us. They had not any problem like our one.
