HOME LOCATION Located just minutes from the Balboa Pier and just a quick walk to the Fun Zone, & Balboa Island Ferry you are never far from the Action. Directly out in front of the Home is the beach where you will find Volleyball Courts, fire pits, and the occasional flag football/ultimate frisbee tournament just off to the Right. From our home, you can safely walk or ride bikes anywhere on the peninsula, Balboa Island, or down to Huntington Beach (45-minute ride 1 way) along the oceanfront boardwalk. However, with more than 30+ restaurants & bars, shops, electric boat/jet ski rentals, and Surfboard/paddleboard lessons all within a 2-15 minute walk, you will never need to travel far. For those of you seeking a Daytime adventure, the Catalina Express, Whale Watching Tours, and Sailing Adventures all depart from the docks across the Street. For those of you with kids, the Balboa Fun Zone is also just across the street making this home an ideal location for families. For those of you with the itch to shop, we recommend hopping on the ferry to Balboa Island. If you can't find what you are looking for, the world-famous Shops at Fashion Island has it all located just a 5-minute taxi ride from the Island. It would have been very helpful that the owner/management team post the house next door is under construction and construction noises start at 6 am very morning. It is very close to the public parking and Fun Zone. Check in was easy and the place is clean. It is not the right choice if you are looking for peace and quiet. There is also NO outdoor space to relax at the home. Also, the unit is at the end of a dead-end alley and is very narrow. It is nice that there is parking, but we had some issues with our cars being blocked in by neighbors and construction trucks that were parked in front of the garages. Bike delivery was a nice option as there are no bikes provided. We did not have to rent chairs as there were plenty to use at the house. If you like to cook or BBQ, bring ALL of your own supplies — including knives and cutting board. ##### Kristin C. It’s a short walk to Balboa Park and Beach through the back of the house. The house has been recently remodeled and is well done except for the shower floors which were not replaced. (We kept our sandals on!) There were lots of beach towels and beach chairs. My only real concern is that the kitchen is not very well-stocked. There were a number of pots, but only one small frying pan. Also no baking dishes for use in the oven. There was only one dish towel. Salt and pepper, but no other spices and no Saran Wrap or foil. I would return, but would hope that the kitchen would be better equipped. ##### Lisa J.
