The rental was exactly as described, with a few minor dings and bumps that didn't stop the fun.The house is located directly on the boardwalk, which made biking everywhere a blast. We brought our e-bikes and loved being able to get around so easily. There is a fire pit nearby, which was perfect for bonfires. Since it's on a quieter part of the boardwalk, noise wasn't an issue.It was a very hot week and the house does not have air conditioning, but the management company provided extra fans. I also brought a small portable air conditioner for the top-floor back room. The management company left easy-to-follow instructions and was easy to get in touch with. It was perfect. We rented bicycles to be kept in the garage during our stay. The bike path and beach were literally steps outside the back door. With a short walk or bike ride we could enjoy the beach, the Balboa Pier, shopping, and restaurants. The AvantStay team answered all of my questions promptly and efficiently. The place was clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend and would consider renting again if we come back to this area. I will say that we stayed during a crazy heat wave. We knew from the listing there was no AC as most of the places on the beach in this location area are the same. The house was well equipped with fans which were our saving grace. The location is very walkable to shops, restaurants, coffee, and Balboa island ferry area. Being on the beach is perfect, there are beach chairs and umbrellas supplied. The house is very clean and there was plenty of towels and necessities for the family. There is laundry onsite to make cleaning clothes and towels easy. The garage is a little tight for two cars, we had a van and a jump and only felt comfortable having one car in there. Street parking wasn't an issue though. I would highly recommend this property!
