For the 1st time we are renting our 2nd floor Apt WITH VIEWS at our 1930's Oceanfront Home on 2nd St. Our home has everything you and your family needs to enjoy your time at the beach. We Provide: Smart TV, WiFi, Washer & Dryer, Linens, Beach/Bath Towels, Boogie Boards, Beach Chairs, Toys, Umbrella, & Games (Ladder Ball/Corn Hole/Spike-ball) and more! Home professionally managed by Tower 17 Properties Our apartment is perfect for a single traveler or small family of four. Whats great about our home is that you have a view from the living room which can double as a 2nd bedroom with a pullout couch. Amenities we don't want to overlook are Garage Parking for a single vehicle, washer and dryer located in the garage, fully equipped kitchen, Cable/Smart TV, and all the beach amenities you could ever need. If you want to know if we provide something, please just ask! HOME LOCATION Located on 2nd Street just a quick walk from the Balboa Pier, Fun Zone, & Ferry with Volleyball Courts and fire-pits directly in front you are never more than a few minutes away from the action! From our oceanfront home, you can safely walk or ride bikes anywhere on the peninsula. With more than 30+ restaurants & bars, shops, Duffy boat/jet ski rentals, etc. within a 2-15 minute walk, you will always have something exciting to do. For those of you seeking a Daytime adventure, the Catalina Express, Whale Watching Tours, and Sailing Adventures all depart from the docks across the Street. For those of you with kids, the Balboa Fun-Zone is also just across the street making this home an ideal location for families. For those of you wanting to Shop, you can hop on the Balboa Island Ferry and catch a quick taxi up the Hill to the Shops at Fashion Island. Be mindful of other guests' schedules and remove items promptly. Air-Conditioning This home does not have air conditioning. Box fans are provided for your comfort, and if additional cooling is needed, a portable AC unit can be rented from a local vendor for $399. Parking Details You are provided with the (1) Parking Spot in the (2) Car Garage. Although your Large Trucks/SUVs may fit, mid-sized vehicles are recommended. Garage dimensions are (78.5" H - 229" L - 92" W per garage stall) High Chair & Pack 'n Play High chair and Pack 'n Play are available by request only. Loved the location right next to the beach! Note that because of the beach berm, you cannot actually see the ocean at street level from the unit/near the unit. You can see that peek-a-boo view from the couch as shown in the pictures. While there was some noise due to garbage trucks early in the morning and some folks walking through the area in the evening, I was surprised at the low-noise level, given the location a block off of a fairly main road. Some airplane noise, but it seems that the unit is not under the primary flight path so it wasn't bad. Note that the kitchen supplies were quite minimal so if you plan on doing real cooking, bring your own or check ahead (only one bowl aside from salad/ceral bowls, no large skillet, no whisk, no vegetable peeler). Note that insulation/attention to details in the building is a little lacking--the living room windows really rattled during a wind storm, the unit got pretty chilly at night (fine for me but my daughter was cold--note that the heater worked well), but the last night after the day time temperature rose to 66F, the inside temp, with windows open and ceiling fans on, was 78F. Note that there are 3 big floor fans in addition to the ceiling fans, so most people would be good but if you are sensitive to heat, the no A/C in the summer could be an issue. LOVED being able to walk to the Catalina Flyer ferry (highly recommended)! Really enjoyed the location, although most of the time it was a bit too cool/windy to make full use of the beach location. It was so nice to be able to walk a few steps and have our toes hit the sand. Place looked just like it did in the photos. Experienced a minor issue but management was quick to take care.
