Daisy is a cute and cosy vintage styled Pod nestled in a small family run woodland Glampsite. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the North Wessex Downs AONB Daisy offers everything you need for a comfortable glamping stay, sleeping two adults in a soft double bed and up to 2 children 12 and under on fold out z beds. Whilst we offer everything you need for a self catering glamping stay including all cooking eating and washing up equipment, bedding towels tea coffee and sugar, we stay true to the camping vibe by drawing our guests outside with our private seating areas, private under cover cooking areas including gas stove and charcoal BBQ, under cover seating areas, firepits and bathrooms with flushing loos and hot showers right next door. The children can even make their own z beds which lay on the floor just like camping! there's just no need to bring any of the bedding as it's all included! The pods have electricity so contain fridges kettles and toasters and are heated! Everything on site is even drinking water so no need to bring that either! Completely dog friendly the Glampsite is set in 10 acres of beautiful private woodland to explore, make dens, spot wildlife and the children can go wild, safely roaming through the maze like paths. We also have ducks geese chickens and peacocks in the garden for the children to make friends with! Sit around the firepits at night time and toast marshmallows or go to our star gazing clearing and watch the night sky! Being in the AONB we are one of the last dark places in England with zero light pollution! There is so much to do in the area, local attractions, hiking, walking and so many dog friendly pubs ranging from under a 1 mile stroll to a 3.8 mile hike across beautiful countryside. Local attractions: Highclere Castle (aka Downton Abbey) Beacon HIll Watership Down Four Kingdoms farm park Finkleydown farm The market towns of Newbury and Hungerford where you will find an array of independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Its been over 20 years since the LKs last visited so were looking forward to re-visiting. There are no charges to walk amongst the stones which make up the largest megalithic stone circle in the world, but there are separate charges for the museum and the Avebury Manor. The main car park is £4 for the day but not very big considering the volume of visitors Avebury sees, so if you visit we would suggest outside peak months. The purpose of the the stone circle is unknown but its believed to be a ritual complex, the site is a sacred site to the contemporary Pagans and if you are lucky on your visit you may see Druidic rites taking place.
