Located one hour from DC, Budds Motorcross Speedway, Maryland International Raceway and close to wineries and historic Virginia. The house itself offers a view of Cuckold Creek and Perry Branch to view from the pier or the screened in porch. The pier is shared with our home next door. We also have a boat ramp and a ladder for swimming off the pier. You’ll find an abundance of wildlife here. It's not unusual to be sitting out in the yard and see bald eagles, osprey, swans & great blue heron doing their thing. Frequently, you will see deer standing along the side of Banks O’ Dee Road. The house is located in an old fashioned charming community, on a creek right off the historic Potomac River. The community is very small and quiet, and the neighbors are very friendly! You are more than welcome to bring your boat, jet ski, kayak or canoe and use our private pier along with the community boat ramp. You can navigate to several restaurants from Cuckold Creek to the Potomac river. Charter fishing, boat rentals, and cruises can be reserved at nearby Cobb Island. Crab traps, kayaks, and paddle boards are provided for your use. Tourism from here: in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC area; One hour to all the following: U.S. Capitol and Museums, Old Town Alexandria, VA, Potomac Mills Shopping Mall (one of the largest malls on the east coast), Mt. Vernon (George Washington's Home), Fredericksburg (Antiques and Civil War battlefields), Robert E. Lee and George Washington birthplaces...Westmoreland Berry Farm. 1.5 hours to Annapolis, MD and Richmond, VA (Kings Dominion Theme Park). It is 2.5 hours to Colonial Williamsburg, Waterworld and Busch Gardens This is just a great place to relax and decompress from the fast pace of the city life! The setting is perfect, with lots of areas to unwind and of course, the waterfront dock is the highlight! Super comfy sectional for stretching out after a long day and the large bathroom and living areas definitely make for a surprising amount of space indoors!! The owners Tina and John ( and their little dog too…) are 5 Star welcoming and bring their own personality to the place since they live in the house next door. We had the most magical weekend stay at this charming riverfront house. The view was absolutely breathtaking—watching the last rays of sunlight from the screened porch felt like pure serenity. The home itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated in a simple, elegant way that instantly put us at ease. Every detail was thought through—from gleaming clean dishes to every kitchen gadget imaginable (yes, even a Kuraje coffee maker and a funky outdoor stove!).What truly made this stay unforgettable was the warm, welcoming energy of the owners next door. Normally, that might feel intrusive, but they were more like friends we hadn’t met yet—there if needed, never in the way. Their sweet, well-mannered son even taught us how to fish (at our request!), and they welcomed our little puppy like one of their own.The peaceful, joyful energy they bring fills the entire space, and the surrounding neighborhood is just as dreamy—lined with stunning homes and views that make you stop and stare.
