This is an older home with character. Get a good nights sleep on our memory foam mattresses, cook in our new kitchen with all new appliances. High speed WiFi plus a private office. The ideal place to stay while visiting family or working in the area. Right on the border of Newark & South Orange. The space Perfect choice for families touring Seton Hall University, and for business travelers, travel nurses, sports fans, insurance companies and production crews visiting, working or filming in Newark, South Orange and New York City. Enjoy family time together in the living room or dine with your family and friends in our dining room with a picturesque stained glass window. Connected to the dining room, is our equipped kitchen with everything you need to make a meal except foodstuff. This apartment has lots of character and offers 3 bedrooms, 2 with comfy Queen size beds. Our best kept secret is right off of the living room through quaint French doors, its our Sunlight filled 3rd bedroom. This 3rd bedroom offers a twin size daybed with a twin size trundle bed underneath, both are extremely comfortable with memory foam mattresses. We offer free driveway parking for one car, plus free street parking as long as you are mindful of the street signs. Professional cleaners clean and disinfect after each guest. Plus we block 24 hours between each guest. You also have access to a separate coin operated washer and dryer in the basement in a shared laundry area. This is the perfect place to stay that meets your needs, so we ask that you please treat this house as if it was your own. In the unlikely event that you damage anything in the apartment, please let us know in advance so that we have time to fix it for the next guests. And definitely worth rebooking!! The host was very responsive and accommodating! The listing mentioned having a blender. When we got there i couldn’t find it and the host brought it right over!! I was very happy that the place had a ac window unit in each room! I love my family in New Jersey but i refuse to stay with them as an adult during the summer bc they don’t have AC in every room! This rental made me enjoy my summer in Newark even more! The bedding was clean, the bathroom was clean, the kitchen was clean!! The towels were clean and soft! The neighborhood was very safe and perfect for an outdoor run! There is a park less than a mile away for children! For me personally, having some sort of drinking water filter would’ve made me even more pleased! My only concern was the breakfast bar, it wasn’t secured to the base/wall. When we leaned on it and lifted up. So we didn’t get a chance to use the breakfast bar. The check in was a bit confusing. You can only open and close the frontdoor of the building with a downloaded app. Because we re from europe it was a bit of a hastle switching from the internet and then to getting a text message. But Zee was sooo extremely helpfull and patient!! We got it done and them it was soo easy!! But still it felt a bit weird that if someone wanted to leave the house , with the app, the others can t get out without it. The apartment was everything we ve expected. Two bed rooms with comfortable beds. The other two beds were in a part of the living room. My son didn t mind but there s no privacy in that “ bedroom” and the curtains were really light so daylight got through. The kitchen could use a coffeemaker. I love my coffee in the morning so that would have been great. But everything you needed was there. One day the toilet got clogged. That s a problem because there s only one. We contacted Zee early in the morning and I was so hapyy that Zee responded almost immediately!!! He arranged a plumber and he fixed the problem. It worked again for a few days but unfortunately the day we left it got clogged again. If you have a car to park we thought it was easiest to park it in the street. That was no trouble at all. Sometimes in front of the house or just a minute walk. Quiet street. 5 minute drive from south Orange. Small town with a few restaurants, grocery store amd a train station. Séjour de 5 nuits en avril 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### R C. 30 mars 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Great location for travel to NYC This apartment was exactly as pictured - a cute place that's clean and spacious for a family of four. It's in a safe part of town, just a few blocks away from a really nice area with lots of restaurants and stores. The check in process was just a bit confusing but the owner was very responsive and helpful. It would have been nice to have instructions for the stay printed out for reference, but the owner did send them at regular intervals in an app that you'll need to download for your stay. Notifications will need to be turned on so you don't miss any of the owners 'texts' via the app. The apartment was very close to NYC and we drove in every day. Even in the worst traffic, it only took a little over an hour to get to NYC (and that's again in very congested traffic). They are neighbors upstairs but you could barely hear them. We did have to negotiate parking in the driveway, which was fine, because it can be hard finding parking on the street. Overall - a very good stay. Would stay again when we travel back to NYC. ##### R C.
