The apartment sleeps up to 5 people. There is a direct bus to New York City two blocks away. ALDI supermarket is only a few blocks away. There is also a laundromat within waking distance. You can park for free in the driveway (limit of one car). No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- this is strictly enforced. This is the entire first floor of a two-unit house. The neighborhood is conveniently located. Bus to NYC is two short blocks away. You can park for free in the driveway (limit of one car). Two short blocks away from this house, there is NJ Transit Bus No. 115 that takes you to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City (Midtown Manhattan). The ride takes about 45-60 minutes. You can also drive easily around this area and there is plenty of parking. Walking/jogging in the neighborhood is also very easy. The amenities that are listed at the time you book the unit are the amenities provided. Please review this list of amenities before booking. Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival. The code will not be sent in advance. The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. We will not be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and your check in will be entirely self-service at those hours. We will not issue refunds if you have any problems with check in after 11:00 pm. There is no luggage storage available at the property. Please also note that this apartment is located in an older house. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the house and layout of the apartment. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place close to New York City and Newark Airport EWR, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you. We also just want to make clear that you are renting an apartment and not a hotel room. There are many differences between apartment rentals and hotels, and some newer guests may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation. Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you\`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation! If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time. If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. We were unable to sleep in the other room because the bed leg was bent upon our arrival. Additionally, the furniture feels very cheap, and the shower liner needs to be replaced. Check in instructions were very clear (as we arrived late at night). However, this listing says "sleeps 6". It does not sleep 6 adults. The 2 bedrooms were fine, but the sofa was not a traditional pullout sofa; it was an odd setup that literally kept falling over in the night. My husband and I tried to sleep on it (we are not large people) and it was treacherous. And btw, 5 pillows for 6 people? I had to use a bolster from the sofa wrapped in a towel as a pillow. The sofa is filthy! If it were replaced with an actual pullout sofa, this apartment would sleep 6\. The space is very roomy, although we were only there overnight and left early the next morning. This is a first floor apartment, and I assume the 2nd floor is also short-term rental (VRBO). At 1:30 am, the family upstairs arrived and clumped around like elephants until 2:30 am. All 6 of us were awake that entire hour! Then at 8:00 am, a child began running back and forth. Certainly not Andy's fault, but maybe advise upstairs renters to be considerate.
