You have a private bathroom for the 2 bedrooms inside the suite. Approximately 510 Square Feet The Space: Bright and sunny 2 BR with redecorated living room situated in the heart of the hippest neighborhood in Rockaway Beach! Only 1 block from the beach. A perfect summer weekend getaway for friends and/or family. Each room was individually designed by local artists to help keep the funky vibes of the town part of your experience every minute of your stay! Wonderful bars and restaurants all around you. Enjoy a day sunbathing in the sand or take a surf lesson! Endless summer fun everywhere you look! Suite #3 The unit has a full living room, a nice couch and an HD TV for your entertainment pleasure, plus, a mini fridge for your personal use. Two (2) Separate Bedrooms Both Bedrooms have Queen beds Two Twin Trundles are also available upon request Please note, due to our location on a lively corner in Rockaway, and above a bar/restaurant, there is a potential for noise, especially on the weekends. Guest Access: Guests will have access to their own room(s) and bathroom(s) and may also use the communal restrooms off of the hallway. You will receive one parking spot. Please park in one of the spots marked with a High Tide sign. You will find a parking pass in your room, please place it on the dashboard of your car. Failure to place the parking pass on your dashboard could result in your vehicle being towed at your expense. Please remember to return the parking pass back to the room prior to departing. The Neighborhood: Located just one block from the beach! The hotel is located in the heart of the hippest summer neighborhood in NYC- Rockaway Beach. With the Atlantic ocean as the major attraction there is always plenty to do. Rent bicycles and ride along the gorgeous seaside boardwalk spanning 5.5 miles from Beach 9th Street to Beach 126th street. Surf lessons everyday on the beach for those looking for some exciting water sports. Or just relax and enjoy a beach day with some local ice cream! Many great restaurants and bars to help make the day more enjoyable. Live music on the boardwalk during sunset is the perfect way to end your days! Getting Around: Subway access includes A & S Trains. NYC beach bus or boat ferry from Manhattan also available. Street parking is available if you bring your car. Buses: Q53 and Q22\. Located about 25 minutes from JFK, 40 minutes from LGA. Other Things to Note: 1) Please keep noise to a minimum between 10:00PM and 9:00AM, so as not to disturb neighbors. Though we are generally a quiet establishment, we are located on a popular street, near public transportation and above a bar & restaurant. Due to this, there is potential for noise, particularly on weekends. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns prior to booking. 2) No visitors without permission, and no additional or overnight guests. All guests must be included on the reservation, including children and infants. 3) Turn off lights and all appliances (especially air conditioners) when you are not in the apartment; and do not run air conditioners with the windows open at the same time. 4) Default check-out time is 11:00AM. Check-out instructions will be sent after your reservation is confirmed. 5) Lock out service carries a fee of $50 between 10AM and 5PM M-F and $100 at all other times. Lockout service is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. Please contact us about lockout service if you are locked out. Do not, under any circumstances, use a locksmith without our prior, express, written authorization. Don’t let the photos fool you. Lack of responsive from property owner, the wifi never worked (it was only 2G and 5G) - since the wifi didn’t work we didn’t have access to the TV either and there was stains on the mattress cover and sheets. Tidy apartment 2 blocks from the beach with parking. However nothing actually worked appropriately. The Internet was in and out at all times and therefore the slow smart tv also did not work. Trying to relax on the couch was a battle with the remote regressing and looking for network connection . Additionally for more than half the stay the shower was a drip and the toilet did not have water. We had to fill a bucket in order to pour into toilet in order for it to flush. We had to all walk back to the beach to use there outdoor showers. I feverishly wrote to the VR “host” which was slow and u receptive answering in ridiculous platitudes. Finally at 10 pm I got a call from building manager stating they fixed the water. The parking lot had a dumpster and a pile of rocks limiting access. The nonchalant non committal reception with any complaint or question was highly frustrating. I love rockaway beach and had fun in spite of overpaying for a shotty mediocre dump. Wouldn’t recommend it. It was priced as a nice apt and was really a 2 star motel experience. I’ve attached pictures of the dry toilet and drip of a shower. It was clean, comfortable, well maintained. Great communication from management. There is a ton of great food spots all over Rockaway Beach and the High Tide is close to many of them (recommend Uma's, Claudette, Roasters, Bungalow Bar, Tacoway Beach, the decadent frozen pina colada at Connelly's, and pretty much everything at Beach 98 and Beach 105). The description informed us that the High Tide is located on a busy street - we have stayed in this part of Rockaway before so we were well-prepared but we did hear lots of street noise, especially in the evenings and from planes taking off and landing in such close proximity to JFK. If you are very sensitive to sound you'll definitely want to bring ear plugs or a noise machine. They do provide ear plugs but I'd recommend extra-sensitive ears to bring their own. Overall a great and relaxing beach vacation, would definitely recommend to others. ##### Kelly P. ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Christina B. 8 juill. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Adventure awaits I wanted to love this cute place so much and all of us were looking forward to exploring NYC and enjoying the beach from here. It's in a great location to both sides of Rockaway and the beautiful boardwalk, shopping and restaurants and bars. The major and huge issue with The High Tide Hotel is its location over the island's loudest bar. It has a horrible head banging noise situation. The band speakers are positioned at the ceiling and thumped through the floors till 3am every night. This place provided an abundance of ear plugs (hint hint) which were USELESS against the bass player. I love rock and music of all kinds but I wasn't there to party. If you want to be at the beach and party till 3am this is the place for you. The rental agreement stipulates "quiet hours" and "no parties or gatherings", which are going on outside of the place until early morning hours, so that's funny. I did not look forward to getting back to the room every single night. For a place that is actually a hotel, the distractions and limitations of this place are endless: no coffee pot, no wash cloths, no hair dryer, no light blocking curtains. There are no cups of any type and no iron. No towel exchange after five days nor garbage pick up. No lamps, and no closets nor places to set suitcases. I took sheets from the trundle bed to put on the couch bed, although the listing is for 7\. Broken plug outlets, bathroom sink lamp light bulb not working, and my towel had a huge worn hole. There's a bare light bulb in the ceiling fixture. The heater did not work but the air conditioning is great when you need it. There's no microwave which is standard in hotels, plus, no television service (which we resolved after contact with VRHost). The entire place place was clean and tidy. Shampoo, conditioner, bath gell and hand soap were provided. I liked the way they have designed the entrance to the front door. The bar is quite attractive and well -kept and had the best tacos I have ever eaten. My suggestion...Provide a modicum of hotel quality amenities and fix the issues I have listed. And most importantly, someone should work with the bar to at least relocate the band speakers. ##### Christina B. Séjour de 5 nuits en juin 2019
