We arrived at 1am after driving for about 12 hrs. The property is clean and welcoming. However, if you arrive late at night, the surrounding area has an abandoned vibe as in there are homes and buildings around the hotel but right next to it, there is bush and you do not have access to the beach from 45th St. You will have to go to either 39th or 59th St to get access. You can access the boardwalk but be prepared to walk a bit. There is only street parking available. Mon morning you cannot park on one side of the road and Wed morning you cannot park on the other side of the road. Cars are fine on the street but make sure that you move them accordingly. Subway location is perfect. Literally at your footstep. The breakfast at La Quinta was terrific with hot and cold entrees. The room had a/c and was large and very clean. The hotel is 1 short block away from an A train station, if you want an alternative to waiting for the hotel shuttle.
