The view of the temple and the beach is amazing. The hotel is at a great location, after visiting the shops in the alley, it ends with the hotel location. Lots of steps as expected in Jiufen but is worth it. We are luxky to book the ocean view room, it faces the rooftop sitting area, temple and the ocean. The dining room view and ambience is fantastic. Wouldnt want a different view. Albeit small, I just want to stay there admiring the view and calmness. The place is well kept and clean. Breakfast is simple and nice and dining area is cosy. Getting there is challenging because of uphill climb and steps. Better to travel light. The place is not manned after 8pm and arrangement needed for late check in. The hotel itself was also lovely and really beautiful, though it's definitely not great to get to as it's near the top of Jiufen though this means you have some great views. Unfortunately, I missed the snacks which I hear are great, the breakfast was nice. My one complaint would be that it would be nice if guests were able to and encouraged to relax at the property before check in. During summer, it's incredibly hot and sometimes you just want to relax away from the hustle and bustle but that didn't feel particularly possible due to them cleaning the property.
