The place is beautifully decorated and has lots of extra touches for travel: luggage racks at the ends of beds, pipes to hang clothes, coffee/tea and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in bathrooms. It had space for everyone to have their own room/bathrooms and a great open concept for kitchen/living room to gather in. The balcony was also beautiful if you can stand the heat of New Orleans! :). It was in a great location. The one draw back was 3 of the 4 bedrooms were very bright at night due to the safety lights on the building next door. However, once I told the owner, he was already measuring to add blinds. Communication was stellar. The owner checked in to make sure we were doing ok and always responded quickly if I reached out. We had everything we needed (we didn’t do any cooking, but used the coffee maker a lot). Beds were comfortable, the place was very secure, and convenient to the Garden District and the streetcar to get downtown and to the French Quarter. Craig was concerned with our comfort but not at all intrusive — just right. The nearest tram stop is just a block to the north that takes you to the French Quarter. The house was perfect for all six of us. Kitchen was so nice to have and the living room was very nice. The beds were all big enough and it was nice to have so many bathrooms. The location was great; walking distance from a lot of stuff in the Garden District and a pretty affordable Uber to the French Quarter if you don't want to take public transit. I would recommend it for any group travel based on the location and setup of the apartment. The host was very responsive and even accommodated changes in check in times due to last minute work meetings. There were quite a few critters our first two nights (which is understandable for New Orleans in the summer time) and the host even sent someone out to lay traps. I would recommend keeping them out year round since the place was newly renovated. Very good stay with plenty of fans and AC. Close to a grocery store, pharmacy, and Magazine Street.
