You are a short walk to the historic Layfayette cemetery and famed Commander’s Palace, a fine-dining creole restaurant that has become a New Orleans institution. Getting Around: The best way to get around is by foot, bike, Uber, or taxi. The French Quarter is a short taxi/Uber. The number 11 bus also runs every 20 minutes directly to the Quarter.
