It’s not my first rodeo using VRBO but there were technical difficulties making payment and submitting a background check form. When I asked the host for information about grocery stores in the area, I was sent a link with names of restaurants. It wasn’t what I asked for but I was able to find a WholeFoods on Google. I LOVED our location in the residential area of Treme because it was in walking distance to Congo Square, CBD and the street car to French Quarters. Having three bedrooms was perfect for us because we each had our own room. There were a few details like fridge water filter needed replacing, the towel rack in one of the bathrooms was dangling and a chair in one of the bedrooms was broken. The host sent someone right away but this should have been taken care before our arrival. I don’t know if the unit above us was a VRBO guest or a tenant renting. Saturday night he had a party and was playing music loudly. There is no insulation so we could hear everything. Again I reached out to the host and surprisingly I received a call, not a link, reassuring me it would not happen again. One of our travelers went home on Monday and two of us had reservations in a shotgun home (Garden District) I asked the our host if we could leave our luggage until 3pm. We booked the house several weeks before our trip, but then I broke my ankle rather badly and was worried about mobility. This house, in addition to being immaculately clean and just gorgeously appointed, was also about as handicap friendly as possible!
