The building is beautiful, classic New Orleans style and a very interesting place to stay. The room was comfortable and felt safe and private. The hotel is in complete disrepair, the grounds are a mess (don’t believe the photos online), the walls are covered with marks and dirt… Had three nights reserved and only stayed the first night because we could not find any other vacancy for that evening. The bathroom was nice. There could have been more attention given to the wooden surfaces such as the staircase; needed a refinish. The courtyard was covered in leaves that could have been weeks since last swept. The location is very convenient for public transport and food options. The breakfast was underwhelming. Just fruit, cereal, boiled egg, and cold cuts. The only things hot were the coffee and the bread or english muffin you could toast. Nice people.
