We don’t normally stay this far west of the Quarter but we really enjoyed seeing the Uptown area and all of the restaurants, bars, shops and homes there. Very walkable. Felt very safe. Our car was parked outside all four days with no issues. It’s an easy Uber if you want to go to any other areas without walking.The host was very communicative and offered great suggestions. Appt. is small but works perfectly for 2\. It is very clean and conveniently located on Magazine street. Great breakfast place is literally next door and a lot of nice restaurants in walking distance. We used tram to get to the downtown/french quarter and lyft to get in other paces. Highly recommend for a small party (one or 2 people). One thing to note: there is no views - windows are looking at the next door roofs. Obviously, we're fans. Here's some of what's great: Neighborhood is wonderful, plenty of everything you could want, restaurants, grocery, bars, music, shops and easy walk to St. Charles and the streetcar. The little apartment is very clean, perfectly furnished, great towels, nice little sun deck, and welcome bag of treats is a nice touch. The price is surprisingly good, considerably less than area hotels. Parking on nearby streets no problem. Louis is a great host, quick & clear communication and very accommodating.
