This property is located in the City Park section of Mid-City New Orleans, where you can live like a local in a great neighborhood, a few short blocks from the ancient live oak trees and 1,300-beautiful acres of New Orleans City Park. The house has a nice front porch and private backyard. It is a five minute walk to the Canal Street or Carrollton Street streetcar lines, Lafitte Greenway (20 minute bike ride to the French Quarter), New Orleans Botanical Garden, Museum of Art, plus plenty of local restaurants and bars. The property is one full side of an owner-occupied, renovated, classic New Orleans shotgun double house. There are two bedrooms, each with a sizable closet and new queen size beds. New eat-in kitchen with granite counter tops and fully stocked stainless steel appliances. Living room has a flat screen TV with roku, and a couch. Loved the art, comfy beds, as well as easy communication with owner. We missed connecting with on site manager although we heard him a few times & were happy to know help was nearby. White noise machines were a nice touch in both bedrooms. Gladly made use of the full sized washer & dryer as moving can be a dusty & dirty endeavor. This shotgun is in a great neighborhood and we felt comfortable parking our U-Haul & small convoy in the street for an early departure.
