Overall it was a great stay, enoyed the view and memorable family time spent during our stay. Close to Glenwood Springs and Harvey Gap state park. Would recommend location and would stay again when we have another family get together.
The house was perfect for what we need perfect for big family, plenty of space Plenty of beds. Kitchen is completely and fully stocked. Loved it. Hope you book your stay here.
The property accommodated our large family really well. The location from downtown was simple & easy making it a very convenient & comfortable stay for a beautiful mountain wedding . The description & pictures were accurate.
A lovely family retreat in a nice country cabin. It has a large open layout with 4 bedrooms. A short distance from downtown Glenwood Springs (8 miles) in a cute neighboring community.
Home was very cozy and comfortable for 7 women who just wanted to get away. There was plenty of room where we didn’t feel on top of each other.
The owners were great with communicating!
We def will be coming back !
We loved this house, which was 5 minutes from family, where we were having an Engagement Party. We had plenty of room for the 3 sets of adults and 4 children ages 2 to 17. We weren't at the house much due to the party help we were offering and the party itself but the time we were there we were all very comfortable. It was great to be so close to where the party was held verses having to drive to town or the next town to a hotel. The owners were great about all communication and very accomodating.
We had a great stay here! We spent a week visiting Glenwood Springs and surrounding areas, and it was a great distance from all the places we wanted to visit.
There was plenty of sleeping spots, dishes, & towels (most important, right?). We also spent every day using the patio space to read, eat dinner, & play games. There are also toys and children’s books there that our kiddos loved.
There was an incident in which a bear got into the trash and the cleaning crew was there the same day, & they were so kind and helpful.
The owners were easy to reach and super kind.

The house itself was very nice. The parking was not possible with the large vehicle we had. Thankfully the neighbor was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to park in their driveway. The outside of the house does need some tiding up. The tree out front should be trimmed so you can walk under it without it hitting you in the face. The garbage needs to be picked up Was properly furnished on the inside for our stay. Housecleaning ladies were very nice and thorough.
We enjoyed this property so much! It looked better in person than in the photos. It had everything there that we needed. Went with my son and his family. I had the master bedroom with was roomy and comfy. The grandkids loved the huge bathtub. It took forever to fill though. The towels were great, and there were plenty of them. The coolers in the rooms were great. We loved the deck! We had what we needed in the kitchen even though we didn't really cook. The kids loved their room with the kitchen and lots of games. The giant TVs were also a big hit. I was worried about the driveway due to another review. It was a bit of an incline but my 2 wheel drive had no problem with it. We did Glenwood Springs activities, and the drive was not bad, about 15 -20 minutes. There is a grocery, and Chinese restaurant in New Castle on the way to the house.
I would love to stay here again!

Cabin at the end of the road
This is probably more of a 3.5 stars experience for some, but since it was mostly what we expected it is 4 stars for us. We had a couple power outages during our stay. They were brief (less than 2 hours each) however it seems like electricity is a problem there as lights would flicker when the A/C units kicked on etc.
But, the biggest thing to note is this house/cabin is located at the end and down a steep driveway of a gravel road. Some cars, such as our van which is low to the ground and 2WD, would find this difficult to navigate or bottom out trying to make it up the driveway and away from the cabin. As such, we parked in the one parking spot at the top of the driveway and walked down the steep gravel driveway to the cabin.
The A/C units in the three bedrooms worked well but the main cooling unit did not seem to do much to cool the living area. Luckily, it was not too warm and there were also ceiling fans.
We really enjoyed the ambiance and quiet of the location. We enjoyed the access to Glenwood Springs, etc.
We enjoyed the bunk beds and toys for kids--they were a very nice surprise and made it very family friendly. The queen bedroom and king bedroom seemed luxurious but that balanced out the basic bunk room with no A/C.
We did see a couple mice scurrying around at night but it is in the woods and they did not disturb us or our food.
Overall, a fun, memorable experience but expect more cabin hideaway and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
