I wouldn’t call it walkable at night, you would have to walk down a busy road with no sidewalks. But we were able to get an Uber from Gruene Hall. It’s a very close drive! We were glad the unit was pet friendly and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The check in process was complicated including having to download an app to get in the gate in the parking lot - would have been good to know in advance so we could have been more prepared. Everything being so automated is great but it was a lot of steps - app to get in gate, trying to find the unit, trying to find the stairs, using app to unlock common areas, a code to get the key from a key box, an electronic key to get into the apartment, etc. The owners were very responsive about our questions/issues and even refunded our early check in fee since it took us so long to get into the apartment. Now that we know how it works it will be much easier but initially it was overwhelming especially after a long drive and being unfamiliar with the property. There are very few pet friendly rentals in Gruene so we were happy to find this one and would definitely rent it again. ##### Lisa G.
