Just 10 minutes from the home, the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, one of the world’s best, promises a day of thrilling water rides and family fun. As you head out to explore greater New Braunfels, you’ll find a plethora of options for dining, nightlife, and the Town Center at Creekside offering a variety of stores to shop until your heart’s content. The Gruene Historic District, a short drive away, is a must-visit with its iconic dance hall, the oldest continually run in Texas, where live music and two-stepping keep the spirit of Texas alive. Of course, no trip to Texas would be complete without sampling the authentic local barbeque, of which there are many desirable options.
