Downtown has great restaurants, live theaters, music, and more! The space WALK TO DOWNTOWN NEVADA CITY and PIONEER PARK! A secret retreat in Downtown Nevada City! Enjoy a getaway weekend or longer stay in this charming Nevada City gem. Nevada City was written up in San Francisco's 7x7 as "The Perfect Weekend Getaway!" and Sunset's Feb 2017 issue as the most desirable Western city to live in! Large (1,000sf) and sunny 1-bedroom private house in downtown Nevada City with newly installed luxury vinyl plank hardwood floors, split AC/heat unit makes the home CLEAN and a perfect temperature year round, and newly updated bathroom with vanity. Home is nestled in a charming Victorian neighborhood. Private, yet mere minutes to local restaurants, shops and parks. Reverse-style living means entry, bathroom and bedroom are at the entry level and the kitchen, dining area and living room are on the 2nd floor overlooking beautiful surrounding grounds (must be able to climb stairs). Home includes a sunny living area with a couch, day bed with pull out trundle (for additional sleeping spaces), desk, dining table with room for 4, and a simple, but spacious kitchen (full fridge, stove, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee pot with Organic coffee beans PLUS coffee press and all the necessities for preparing meals. A 2nd story balcony with gorgeous views is just off the living area (views of Pioneer Park). Downstairs (entry level) you’ll find a separate king bedroom has access to a covered porch. Bed has down comforter. Bathroom is located downstairs close to bedroom/entry and has a shower stall only. • Complimentary coffee (Organic Whole Coffee Beans) & tea. • Toaster, fridge, full stove/oven, blender, microwave, dishes, and basic cooking supplies. •High Speed Wifi •Bose Bluetooth speaker for your music pleasure! • Flat screen smart TV, NO Cable (you can stream apps if you are a member of them) • Iron & ironing board • Hair dryer • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash • Egyptian cotton towels • Day bed located in the living room with twin memory foam mattress PLUS trundle with additional twin memory foam mattress. • King Bed with 100% cotton sheets and down comforter. Parking for the unit is in the gravel spot to the right of the unit (off-street and just a few steps from the front door). Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: This house is connected to a garage. You may hear the garage door open and close from time to time inside the house but it will always be during awake hours (7am to 9pm). We do not live in the main house, please do not disrupt the tenants. Please only park 1 vehicle in the gravel parking spot to the right of the unit. Make sure to review all of the rules to help keep this property available. The neighborhood is not 100% accessible due to uneven sidewalks, large cracks and small spaces. Great location and they answered immediately whenever we called. There were a few things I think can be improved. 1\. The light bulbs in the kitchen need to be changed out for a much brighter one. 2.we were unable to get to the Home Screen on the TV and were only able to access the Netflix of whom ever used the TV last. Not a huge big deal just an adjustment needing to be fixed. 3\. For me if I’m paying a cleaning fee I would prefer not to have to do the dishes. ##### Jennifer Y. We didn’t really get to enjoy it too much because we were so busy with a family wedding. But, it was immaculately clean, the bed was very comfy and if you are strong enough to endure a large hill, a short walk from town. Such a cute downtown that we did have a couple of great meals at. My husband and I spend a lot of time in Nevada City and often try to find a new place to stay each time and this was our favorite one so far! Perfect location with just a 7 min walk to downtown. We ate our meals in downtown Nevada City, which is a short walk from the house. Close hiking and river access. The place was like stepping back in time, with old-fashioned vibes all around. The place we stayed in was cozy and decorated in a really cool way that fit with the town's history. The bed was comfy, and the blankets were soft, so we slept well. Plus, the place was spotless and super clean. The best part was how close we were to the town's downtown area. The host even gave us tips on where to go, which was awesome. We had a little kitchen area where we could make breakfast, and the living room was nice for hanging out at night. It had books and games to keep us entertained. Overall, staying at the Vrbo was a blast. It was a cool place to stay while exploring the town. We'd totally go back again someday. The host was awesome! She always replied quickly whenever we needed anything. ##### Tracy A. Séjour de 3 nuits en mars 2024 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Fran M. 19 févr. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Nice Place Near Nevada City’s Central Business District The home is nestled in a prime location within walking distance of Nevada's central business district which was perfect while I attended the Wild and Scenic Film festival. Cleanliness is a top priority for me when I stay at an ABNB or VRBO and I was pleased to find the space was immaculate. Some of the furniture is dated but it is evident that the hosts take great pride in ensuring their guests have a clean and organized place to stay. The small kitchen was well stocked with quality utensils and pans. The neighborhood itself is charming and I enjoyed walking down the hill to explore what Nevada City has to offer. Obviously, walking up the hill was a little more strenuous but not too bad. I would stay again. ##### Fran M.
