Little Nelson Bay Beach offers calm water swimming, picnics and BBQ's, and just 200m along the coast is Fly Point, the aquatic sanctuary known for its amazing snorkeling and scuba diving (best at high tide). Follow along the foreshore less than 1km in the opposite direction into town for cafes, restaurants, boutique shopping and the marina, where dolphin watch cruises depart daily. You won't need the car! This bright and sunny, refurbished apartment offers panoramic water views from the balcony, right out across the Bay. This stretch of coastline is one of the most picturesque in Australia and here at Bayview Towers you have the front row view. There is a large balcony to sit back and relax in the fresh ocean breeze, along with an open plan living area with flat screen TV and DVD player, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, cook top and oven. The main bedroom has a queen bed and an adjoining sunroom that contains a tri-bunk, and the 2nd bedroom also has a double bed. There is one bathroom with a shower and separate powder room. However, we arrived to a very untidy and smelly unit. The unit had definitely not been cleaned prior to our arrival as there were dead bugs and sand all over the floor. The bedrooms were a complete mess and had a very unpleasant smell. We called Port Stephens Accommodation to organise for the unit to be cleaned but were told it was holiday season so it would be difficult to find a cleaner and even if they did, it would take 2 to 3 hours for them to arrive and clean the unit. As such, we went and purchased a number of cleaning products and cleaned the unit ourselves which is not something I wanted to do on a holiday. The beds also need to be replaced as they are more than warn down and uncomfortable. This meant to have any kind of window open at night (there was no aircon) there was a constant bright orange glow throughout. It also is a little noisy with street traffic. The main bedroom is also a little strange with the renovations. It doesn't have it's own window and looks into another bedroom.
