A really nice hotel about fifty yards from Negombo beach. It is in a little alley off the main road and is well situated and clean. The staff were lovely also. A tuk tuk will take you to the main sites in a few mins for about 500 rupees. The locals are really lovely - almost everyone will stop to speak to you or to say good morning. The beach is directly across the street. You can also use the facilities of the resort across the street for 2,000 rupees per day. This includes beach chairs, towel, pool, wi-fi, restaurant & bar. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were very basic but clean. There was tea and coffee in the room but no heating kettle, so you couldn't actually make coffee even though instant coffee was sitting there was there which was a bummer. Lovely property. It's just off the main road (about 1/2 block) down an alley, so was hard to find in the dark until we called and the owner turned on a large lit-up sign. Location is easy walking access to dozens of restaurants, souvenir shops, and other stores so was a good location to be at. Easy walk to the beach and very easy to catch a Tuk tuk on the main road to go into the heart of town or the airport. It's maybe a 15-min drive to the airport. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. It was a bit different everyday. They have a very helpful booklet in the room that had great tips where to eat or go sightseeing. Breakfast (included) was delicious, one morning was Sri Lankan pancakes (like crepes with coconut and brown sugar), fresh fruit, fresh juice and your option of egg. The second morning was dosa with curry, fresh fruits and juices. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. It’s a small family run hotel run by two Italian brothers. The entire hotel is spotless. Their attention to detail is fantastic. The rooms are large and modern. The room was cleaned to five star standard every day. It’s very close to the beach and lots of good restaurants and shops. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The grounds are well kept and welcoming. The staff cannot do enough for you. Jättefina och stora rum med stor balkong. Lagom stort hotell med kanske 10 rum. De erbjöd sri lankisk frukost om man ville ha det. Hotellet låg nära huvudgatan och stranden på nära håll. Ändå hörde man inte trafiken. Hotellet och läget överträffade våra förväntningar. Det ligger på en lugn liten sidogata nära till shopping, restauranger och stranden. Hotellet verkar relativt nybyggt. Rummen var rymliga med skön säng och välfungerande AC. WiFi fungerade bra. Duschutrymme med avgränsning med vägg och dörr. Bra med fungerande både varmt o kallt vatten. Balkongen fin men fanns mygg där. Personalen trevlig och serviceinriktade. Hjälpte till med att ordna transport till Kandy. Frukost ingick och den var bra. Bestod av juice, frukttallrik, omelett eller stekta ägg, toast, smör och marmelad samt kaffe eller te.
