« We spent a week at a cozy cabin near Waubun, MN, on Elbow Lake, and it was a fantastic experience. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did encounter a small issue with the septic system, but the owner responded promptly and went above and beyond by offering a large refund for the inconvenience without us even asking. Their attentiveness and accommodation made our stay even better. Highly recommended! »

« Big Timbers is a wonderful place to stay. It is right at the north entrance to Itasca State Park. It is clean and comfortable and there is plenty of space. I love the cabin feel to the room. It has such a cute gift shop with pizza and ice cream available. We would stay here again. »

« Drop dead gorgeous lake without the jammed, crowded lake houses so many other Minnesota lakes offer. Unique island location. The sauna was immensely popular with everyone. Special feeling to float in the lake at night after the sauna experience. Armada of toys and games kept the young ones engaged. Kayaks and paddle boards. « The property was 10/10, hot tub overlooking the lake, stocked firewood, lots of kids activities to offer. The only downfall was my dad had a very difficult time getting to the bathroom in his wheelchair, the hallways and bathroom very tight to be classified as “wheelchair accessible” The ramp is doable with assistance up and the entrance was very wide with open floor plan through the living room and into the kitchen. If staying and in a wheelchair, you may be struggle a bit. »
