Recently renovated, it is on the second floor of a building without an elevator and is spread over two levels. The entrance opens onto a living area with a double sofa bed, TV, dining table, open-plan kitchen, and access to the balcony. On the same floor, there is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a raised nook with a desk. A staircase in the living area leads to a mezzanine where you’ll find another queen-size bed. Completing the layout is a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi, ironing facilities, air conditioning, and heating are available to guests. \*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy. "When you go to Naples you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave," they say. Naples is a unique city, to be experienced by walking through the alleys, smelling the scent of gastronomic delicacies in the air, and admiring its rich artistic and monumental heritage. Naples has a distinctive culinary tradition for its famous Neapolitan pizza, and the art of its pizza makers has been declared an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Strolling through Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts the city in half, one traverses its thousand-year history thanks to the presence of ancient palaces and churches, such as the Duomo di Napoli and the Maschio Angioino. If there is one place that symbolizes Naples, it is Piazza del Plebiscito, now a symbol of the new 'Neapolitan Renaissance' where tourists come to admire its grandeur and two jewels: the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola and the Royal Palace. Today it is also possible to visit 'the underground city', or the so-called 'belly of Naples', which served the Neapolitans as a refuge during the bombing raids, where tourists can walk through the Greco-Roman aqueduct, the air-raid shelters, and finally visit the War Museum. Particularly to be noticed is the San Severo Chapel, which houses the sculpture of the Veiled Christ, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works to be seen in Naples, the work of Giuseppe Sanmartino. However, our experience was impacted by several issues—mainly the lack of communication from the host.We were shorted on towels upon arrival and didn’t receive the additional ones for our family until just 10 hours before checkout. The air conditioner was another major problem—it wasn’t working, and despite sending multiple messages, I didn’t receive any response until three days later, when I was finally told how it needed to be set in order to function. I checked in on 7/28 and took them 2 days to acknowledge my issues and then gotten my missing towels on July 2nd. Also, it’s worth noting that the apartment is a 5-story walk-up, so be prepared if you're traveling with a lot of luggage or children.Overall, while the unit has potential and is in a great location, the lack of responsiveness and basic hospitality made the stay frustrating. I have much much more unresponded messages from this stay ##### Nicola A.
