This charming, 1600 sq. foot home was built in 1927, and is a Spanish-style bungalow with lots of windows and beautiful light. This high spec, 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom fully equipped home is located in a quiet residential area. City License VR19-0003 Casita Rosa is a two bedroom home located in historic downtown Napa. This charming, 1600 sq. foot home was built in 1927, and is a Spanish-style bungalow with lots of windows and beautiful light. This high spec, 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom fully equipped home and is one of Napa's only 41 legal whole~home, non-hosted Vacation Rentals. Situated in Downtown Napa, Casita Rosa, is your home-away-from-home in the heart of the beautiful Napa Valley! Casita Rosa guests enjoy the convenience of being a 2-block walk to the downtown Napa Shopping and Dining District. Freshly remodeled in January 2019 and updated with open space living area, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with white marble countertops, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils etc., everything you need to enjoy cooking with local ingredients. The home is equipped to provide our traveling guests with everything they would need to make it the perfect home base while they explore all that Wine Country has to offer! Enjoy being blocks away from 5-star dining, live music, wine bars, shopping, and galleries. The Oxbow Market is also a short walk from Casita Rosa as is the new Napa River Trail on the east side of the river, southbound, which will bring you to the new Cinemark Movie Theatre Complex, Velo Bike Rental, Forge Pizza, In-Shape Gym, and the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. A short morning stroll will bring you to ABC Bakery--a local favorite--for morning coffee, scrumptious quiche and baked goods. Just blocks away from the house, you'll discover world class dining: some Napa favorites are Morimoto's, Angele, Cole's Chop House, Celadon, Allegria's, Napkins, ZuZus. (Dining and winery maps and guides are provided at the house and the Napa Visitor's Center at the Riverfront on Main Street.) When staying at Casita Rosa, all that Napa Valley has to offer are easily within your reach. Wineries are a 10 minute drive from the house in any direction, and San Francisco and the Bay Area are one hour to the south. Casita Rosa sleeps up to 4 guests. We furnish Casita Rosa with high thread-count sheets, comfy faux down pillows, and fresh towels, as well as bath sheets for our guests using the spa, and all of the paper goods and detergents you would expect to have in your own home--toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, soaps and shampoos, etc. Casita Rosa is close to easy access to Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail, home of the finest wineries in the world. Drive time: 5 minutes to Carneros Region wineries (southwest Napa) and 5 minutes to Napa wineries off Silverado Trail, 20 minutes to Sonoma Square, 15 minutes to Yountville, 25 minutes to St. Helena, 40 minutes to Calistoga. For the family with fun on its mind, the local playground is 5 blocks away at historic Fuller Park and Six Flags amusement park is 20 minutes south. Using car from my place to Downtown San Francisco is 1 hour and 12 minutes \[51.5 miles\], Dowtown Berkeley is 56 minutes \[40.2 miles\] and Downtown Oakland is 59 minutes \[13.9 miles\]. Using the BART from Pittsburg/ Bay Point BART Station to Downtown San Francisco is approximately 1 hour, to Downtown Berkeley is approximately 50 minutes and to Downtown Oakland is approximately 45 minutes. The owner was responsive, but during the afternoon it was as hot as 85 degrees in the dining room. The couches were terribly uncomfortable and dilapidated, the TV didn’t work (we figured that out), the patio furniture was old and I got a pick in my shirt, the cornhole boards were delaminating, and the list goes on. The kitchen was nice and updated, but no ice maker in the freezer. There were spider webs all over each window and door. This place was no where near the value of what we spent. However, the following day 30 min prior to check in they said they would not refund our money. During discussions they then decided we couldn’t stay at all and cancelled our reservation!!! Though nice, it is not as nice as pictured. Biggest challenge was temperature. Though light and bright, the many windows and lack of carpeting make it hard to control temp. We were cold. For the price, owners could have done more. Arrived after 10 PM day 1, charged whole day, and no welcome amenity. Took advantage of festival and doubled the price plus VRBO surcharges. ##### MASON S. This is a great home to share with another couple (or friend) who want to be close to wine country and near downtown Napa. Positives: Eclectic neighborhood very close to downtown (walkable) and also easy access to Napa Valley, beautiful kitchen and dining room, beds (primary bedroom was big with its own primary bathroom) and the bedding was comfortable. Negatives: the backyard was fairly unkept (and it could be a really beautiful setting) and as a previous guest noted, the sofas in the living area were brutally uncomfortable and well passed their prime as well was some of the outside furniture. The front bedroom was on a somewhat busy street so it could be tough sleeping if you are a light sleeper. Would I stay there again? Probably not....but I would still recommend it to others for a short stay. ##### Edward B. Spacious and well equipped kitchen, nice outdoor space, nice bedrooms (the master bed was especially comfortable) and large dining area.
