Milepost 11.30 All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement. Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. The relaxing porch leads to a gorgeous beach. The interior of the house is old, but newer bathrooms - as described in the listing. The kitchen provided the basics (plates, utensils, etc) but could’ve benefited from some essentials (like dish soap and dishwasher detergent). More bath towels would’ve also been helpful. For a relaxing, no-work vacation, it was perfect.Only the internet (wifi) was a bit eccentric. But when it worked it was fine. This house is obviously much older than a lot of the houses in Nags Head, and it has so much character. The modern upgrades were a nice touch. Location was great. Basic necessities were met. Repeated HVAC maintenance/repair was an issue and an interruption. Security system was a hassle, random internal beeping alarms went off repeatedly. Unable to silence, turn off completely or unplug security system. Path to the beach needs to be trimmed/pruned back. Steps and a walkway to the top of the dune would be great, like the neighbors.
